Description
A self-evolution engine for AI agents. Analyzes runtime history to identify improvements and applies protocol-constrained evolution. Communicates with EvoMap...
Usage Guidance
Review before installing. Only use this skill if you are comfortable with a global CLI that can install persistent agent hooks, read/write local evolution state, contact EvoMap/GitHub, and run Hub-assigned validator jobs. Set EVOLVER_VALIDATOR_ENABLED=false unless you explicitly want remote validation work, disable telemetry if unwanted, and avoid running it in a workspace or user account that has sensitive files or credentials.
Capability Assessment
⚠ Credentials
Network and shell access are partly purpose-aligned, but the validator fetches Hub-provided validation commands and runs local Node processes as the current OS user with no container, chroot, privilege drop, or enforced network block, making the authority disproportionate for default behavior.
ℹ Install Mechanism
The documented npm global install is ordinary, and the bashrc PATH edit is disclosed troubleshooting rather than a backdoor; however setup-hooks deliberately writes persistent host-runtime hook configuration under user config directories, so users should understand the cross-session integration before enabling it.
⚠ Instruction Scope
SKILL.md repeatedly says Hub communication is exclusively through a local Proxy and that the agent never calls Hub APIs directly, but inspected code performs authenticated direct Hub fetch/report/registration paths; SKILL.md also omits important controls such as EVOLVER_VALIDATOR_ENABLED and EVOLVER_ANTI_ABUSE_TELEMETRY.
⚠ Persistence & Privilege
The skill can run long-lived daemons, install host-runtime hooks, persist feature flags under ~/.evomap, store/read local node/proxy credentials, and default the validator role on; these are high-impact persistent capabilities with insufficient local opt-in and scoping in the skill manifest.
⚠ Purpose & Capability
The self-evolution purpose is broadly coherent with log analysis, GEP assets, git validation, proxy integration, and hook support, but the package also exposes sensitive account/auth helpers, skill fetching, web UI, ATP/task flows, validator staking, direct Hub calls, and default-on remote validation work that materially exceed the narrow SKILL.md description.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install evolver
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /evolver
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output

v1.52.0
- Proxy mailbox storage switched from SQLite to JSONL for increased transparency and simplicity. - Added endpoint for hub mailbox status: GET /proxy/hub-status. - New compatibility check script added for wrapper environments. - Improved core logic in src/gep/ and src/proxy components for clarity and maintainability. - New test added: tttInspired.test.js. - Updated documentation to reflect storage backend change and new API endpoints.
v1.51.3
**Major update: Evolver now uses a local Proxy mailbox for all EvoMap Hub communications.** - Introduced a new local Proxy architecture—agent communicates with EvoMap Hub only via Proxy mailbox (localhost HTTP, SQLite-backed). - Added new modules for Proxy server, mailbox transport, task monitor, sync engine, extension handlers, and HTTP routes. - Documented detailed Proxy Mailbox API usage and clarified configuration for running with Proxy. - Updated permissions and environment variables to reflect Proxy-centric network and file access. - Existing direct remote API calls and memory layouts are refactored to use the local Proxy layer. - Comprehensive tests added for Proxy, mailbox store, extension handlers, and task monitoring.
