When invoking: On first use, if helpful, open with 1–2 sentences on what this skill covers and why it matters, then provide the main output. On subsequent use or when the user asks to skip, go directly to the main output.

What Is CTV / OTT

  • CTV (Connected TV): Smart TVs, streaming devices (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV) that serve ads
  • OTT (Over-the-top): Video delivered over the internet (Hulu, Peacock, Paramount+, etc.)
  • Streaming share: Streaming surpassed broadcast + cable combined in 2025 (~45% of TV viewing)

Why CTV

Advantage Detail
High completion ~95% ad completion rate vs lower on mobile/desktop
Unskippable Most CTV inventory is non-skippable pre-roll/mid-roll
Targeting Demographics, interests, location, household data
Underinvested CTV received ~7% of ad spend despite ~18% of media time (2024)

Usage Guidance
This skill is a read-only instruction document for CTV/OTT ad strategy and appears safe: it requests no secrets, installs, or system access. Before installing, consider whether the guidance and statistics (dates, completion rates, share metrics) are up-to-date for your use case; if you plan to have the agent act on user data or integrate with ad platforms, prefer a skill that clearly declares the required credentials and endpoints.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: ctv-ads Version: 1.0.1 The skill bundle contains purely informational content and behavioral instructions for an AI agent regarding Connected TV (CTV) and OTT advertising. There is no executable code, no suspicious network activity, and no evidence of malicious prompt injection or data exfiltration. Files analyzed: _meta.json and SKILL.md.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The name/description (CTV/OTT ad guidance) matches the SKILL.md content. The skill requests no binaries, env vars, or installs that would be unrelated to this purpose.
Instruction Scope
SKILL.md contains only marketing/operational guidance, checklists, formats, metrics, and related-skill pointers. It does not instruct the agent to read files, access environment variables, call external endpoints, or transmit data.
Install Mechanism
No install spec and no code files are present, so nothing is written to disk or executed. This is the lowest-risk install profile.
Credentials
The skill requires no environment variables, credentials, or config paths — proportional to a documentation/reference skill.
Persistence & Privilege
Default invocation flags are used (not always: true). The skill does not request persistent/system-level privileges or modify other skills' configs.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install ctv-ads
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /ctv-ads
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
