README (SKILL.md)

TomTom

Operate TomTom through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the tomtom connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Maps & Location, Developer Tools. Exposes 5 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected TomTom. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "tomtom" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "tomtom" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • autocomplete — Return autocomplete suggestions from the TomTom Search API.
  • fuzzy_search — Search addresses or places with the TomTom Search API fuzzy search endpoint.
  • geocode — Convert an address into geographic search results with the TomTom Geocoding API.
  • nearby_search — Search for nearby places of interest around a coordinate with TomTom.
  • reverse_geocode — Convert a coordinate into human-readable address candidates with the TomTom Reverse Geocoding API.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change TomTom state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — TomTom is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=tomtom

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install only if you are comfortable using OOMOL as the intermediary for TomTom requests and with one-time oo CLI setup. Prefer reviewing the official install guide or installer script before running the curl/PowerShell pipeline, and connect a TomTom API key with only the scopes you need.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The stated purpose is to run TomTom search, geocoding, reverse geocoding, autocomplete, and nearby-search actions through the OOMOL connector, and the action files match that read-oriented purpose.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are scoped to inspecting connector schemas and running named TomTom connector actions with JSON payloads; the skill also tells the agent not to start login or connection setup unless an auth or connection error occurs.
Install Mechanism
The first-time setup section includes official-looking remote installer commands such as curl-to-bash and PowerShell irm-to-iex for installing the oo CLI. This is disclosed and purpose-aligned, but users should understand it executes remote code during setup.
Credentials
The declared tool access is limited to Bash commands matching oo *, and the credential model is disclosed as server-side OOMOL credential injection rather than raw token handling by the skill.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill may rely on persistent OOMOL CLI installation, login state, and a connected TomTom API key, but it does not instruct background workers, hidden persistence, broad local indexing, destructive actions, or credential exfiltration.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-tomtom
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-tomtom
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Initial release of `oo-tomtom`, an OOMOL skill for using TomTom Maps and Location APIs through an OOMOL-connected account. - Adds place and address discovery with TomTom Search API support for autocomplete suggestions and fuzzy search. - Supports forward geocoding to convert addresses into geographic search results. - Supports reverse geocoding to convert coordinates into human-readable address candidates. - Adds nearby place search around latitude/longitude coordinates for location-based points of interest. - Uses the `oo` CLI connector workflow with live schema inspection before action execution, keeping credentials managed server-side by OOMOL.
