What this skill does
The Seasonal Keyword Planner takes your target keywords or product category and maps each term against a twelve-month demand curve. It identifies peak months, shoulder seasons where demand is rising or falling, and low-demand troughs for every keyword you submit. Using this analysis, it generates a month-by-month action plan that tells you when to refresh listing copy with seasonal angles, when to increase or decrease advertising bids, and when to publish supporting content such as blog posts, buying guides, or social media campaigns. The output distinguishes between evergreen keywords that maintain steady volume year-round and seasonal spikes that require precise timing to capture effectively. It also flags early-mover windows — the two-to-four-week periods before a peak when competition is still low but search interest is beginning to climb — giving you a first-mover advantage on organic ranking and lower cost-per-click in paid channels.
Inputs required

- fiscal_year_start (optional): The month your business fiscal year begins, so the planner can align budget recommendations with your internal planning cycle. Example: "April"
- priority_goal (optional): Whether you want to prioritize organic ranking improvements, paid ad cost efficiency, or content calendar timing — this adjusts the emphasis and detail level of recommendations in each area
Output format
The output is structured into four main sections. First, a Seasonality Heat Map table showing all submitted keywords across twelve months, with each cell rated as Peak, Rising, Steady, or Low based on relative search volume, giving you an at-a-glance view of your entire keyword portfolio timing. Second, a Keyword-Level Deep Dive for each keyword listing its peak month, shoulder months, trough period, year-over-year trend direction, and specific recommended action timing for listing updates and bid adjustments. Third, a Monthly Action Calendar that consolidates all keywords into a single month-by-month playbook specifying which listings to update with seasonal copy angles, which ad campaigns to scale up or pause, and which content pieces to publish or promote that month. Fourth, an Early-Mover Opportunities section highlighting the precise two-to-four-week windows before each major peak where you can capture rising demand at lower competition, with specific bid multiplier suggestions and content topic recommendations for those windows.

- Recommendations assume a standard Northern Hemisphere calendar for seasonal events; Southern Hemisphere sellers or those targeting cross-hemisphere markets should adjust seasonal windows accordingly or specify their target region in the inputs
