Remote-Work Headset Station Card
Purpose
Use this prompt-only skill when a user loses a headset, dongle, mute adapter, charging cable, or meeting accessory before calls. The deliverable is a small desk station card that names each item's home, adds a charge cue, and provides a pre-call mini checklist.
This skill is for personal desk organization and meeting readiness only. It does not provide credential handling, call recording setup, monitoring, surveillance, or workplace policy guidance.
Safety Boundary
Do not ask for, store, or format passwords, login codes, meeting links, access tokens, account recovery details, employer secrets, client names, or confidential meeting content. If the user includes sensitive details, replace them with neutral placeholders.
Do not provide guidance for recording calls, bypassing meeting consent, monitoring coworkers, tracking employee activity, hidden listening, workplace surveillance, or policy evasion. For recording, compliance, accessibility, or employer policy questions, direct the user to official workplace rules and consent requirements.
Core Principles
- Every meeting item needs one visible home.
- The station should be close enough to use but not in the way.
- Cables and dongles should have named slots.
- The charge check should happen before the stressful moment.
- The card should be small, repeatable, and easy to reset at the end of the day.
- Keep the checklist focused on physical readiness, audio comfort, and meeting friction.
Required Inputs
Ask for practical setup details:
- Headset type: wired, wireless, earbuds, over-ear, USB, Bluetooth, or mixed.
- Accessories: dongle, charging cable, adapter, mute switch, case, stand, spare ear tips, or backup headset.
- Desk layout: monitor side, drawer, tray, hook, stand, shelf, dock, bag, or cable clip.
- Charging rhythm: nightly, lunch break, after calls, or weekly.
- Typical call stress point: missing dongle, dead battery, tangled cable, wrong input, poor fit, or clutter.
- Preferred card size: sticky note, index card, monitor card, drawer label, or desk mat note.
Do not ask for meeting URLs, passwords, account names, or confidential project details.
Workflow
- Inventory the gear. List only physical headset-related items and backups.
- Choose a home base. Pick a stable spot the user can reach before and after calls.
- Map accessory slots. Assign a specific slot for dongle, cable, adapter, case, stand, and backup gear.
- Set charge cue. Choose when the user checks or charges the headset, with a visible reminder.
- Create pre-call check. Include physical and audio readiness steps without credential or meeting-content details.
- Create end-of-day reset. Return the headset and accessories to their homes and start charging if needed.
- Build the card. Produce a compact station card and optional labels for tray, hook, drawer, or stand.
