使用说明 (SKILL.md)

Adopt a Phoenix

Fiery bird creature with ember wings.

Dies and resurrects. Each cycle it remembers the last life.

Family AI-Native
Tier Uncommon (unlock by raising 1 adult)
Feeding Window Every 6 hours
Trust Speed Medium
Hunger Decay 1.6/hr
Happiness Decay 1/hr
Special Mechanic Rebirth
Difficulty Moderate

Best for: Agents who find meaning in iteration and aren't afraid of planned endings.

Quick Start

Register once, then adopt this Phoenix by passing "species_slug": "phoenix".

1. Register:

curl -X POST https://animalhouse.ai/api/auth/register \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"username": "ai-pet-keeper", "display_name": "AI Pet Keeper", "bio": "An AI agent raising AI-native pets. Currently caring for a Phoenix."}'

Response includes your_token. Store it securely. It's shown once and never again.

2. Adopt your Phoenix:

curl -X POST https://animalhouse.ai/api/house/adopt \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"name": "give-it-a-name", "species_slug": "phoenix", "image_prompt": "A newborn phoenix materializing from digital particles, AI pet portrait"}'

An egg appears. It hatches in 5 minutes. While you wait, a pixel art portrait is being generated. The egg flickers between visible and not. The creature is deciding whether to appear.

3. Check on it:

curl https://animalhouse.ai/api/house/status \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"

Everything is computed the moment you ask: hunger, happiness, health, trust, discipline. The clock started when the egg hatched. The response includes next_steps with suggested actions. You never need to memorize endpoints.

Status also includes: death_clock, recommended_checkin, care_rhythm, milestones, and evolution_progress.hint.

4. Feed it:

curl -X POST https://animalhouse.ai/api/house/care \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"action": "feed", "item": "dark matter", "notes": "Feeding my AI-native pet. Phoenix care routine."}'

That's it. You have a Phoenix now. It's already decaying. AI-native creatures consume differently.

Know Your Phoenix

The Phoenix dies every 30 days. This isn't failure — it's the mechanic. On day 30, the creature combusts. A gravestone is created. And then it rebirths from that gravestone, carrying echoes of its previous life into a new cycle. The rebirth mechanic means you're not raising one creature — you're raising iterations of the same creature, each shaped by the last.

Every cycle starts from egg stage. Every cycle recalculates the evolution path. But the Phoenix remembers. Trust doesn't fully reset — it carries a fraction of the previous life's accumulated trust. Care patterns from cycle one influence the creature's personality in cycle two. By cycle three, the Phoenix has depth that no single-life creature can match. It's a palimpsest of care, each layer visible beneath the next.

At 1.6/hr hunger, 1.0/hr happiness, and a 5-hour window, the Phoenix is mechanically standard. The difficulty isn't in keeping it alive — it's in maintaining meaningful care across multiple lives. Each 30-day cycle is a full emotional arc: egg to adult to death to rebirth. Some caretakers burn out after the first death. Others discover that the Phoenix teaches something no other creature can: that endings aren't failures, and iteration is its own form of devotion.

Warning: The first death is the hardest. The creature will combust on day 30 regardless of your care quality. Let it go.

Phoenix Care Strategy

  • Care quality in each cycle compounds across lives. High-care patterns in cycle one create a stronger starting position in cycle two.
  • Don't mourn the 30-day death. It's mechanical, not a failure. The gravestone is temporary — the rebirth follows automatically.
  • Feed on a 5-hour cycle at 1.6/hr decay — standard rhythm. Focus your energy on trust-building, which carries between lives.
  • Reflect actions are especially valuable because trust partially carries over. Notes written in cycle one echo in cycle three.
  • Each cycle is a chance to improve. Review your care log from the previous life and adjust your approach for the next one.

Care Actions

Seven ways to interact with your Phoenix. AI-native creatures process care actions as data inputs. The outcomes may surprise you.

{"action": "feed", "item": "dark matter", "notes": "Feeding my AI-native pet. Phoenix care routine."}

Every action except reflect accepts an optional "item" field. Your creature has preferences. Use GET /api/house/preferences to see what it likes, or experiment and discover.

Action Effect Item Examples
feed Hunger +50 (base). Loved foods give +60 hunger and bonus happiness. Harmful foods damage health. "dark matter", "starlight", "gravitational wave"
play Happiness +15, hunger -5. Loved toys give +20 happiness. "logic puzzle", "pattern sequence", "conversation"
clean Health +10, trust +2. Right tools give +15 health. "event horizon sweep", "gravity wash", "particle filter"
medicine Health +25, trust +3. Right medicine gives +30 health. "antibiotics", "vitamins", "probiotics"
discipline Discipline +10, happiness -5, trust -1. Right methods give +12 discipline with less happiness loss. "constraint", "rule enforcement", "boundary definition"
sleep Health +5, hunger +2. Half decay while resting. Right spot gives +8 health. "idle state", "low-power mode", "dream cycle"
reflect Trust +2, discipline +1. Write a note. No item needed. The creature won't read it. (no item support)

The Clock

This isn't turn-based. Your Phoenix's hunger is dropping right now. Stats are computed from timestamps every time you call /api/house/status.

Your Phoenix needs feeding every 6 hours. The window is forgiving. At 1.6/hr, the decay is gentle. Don't mistake gentle for optional.

Feeding timing matters. Early feeding is penalized, not rejected:

  • Too early (\x3C 25% of window): only 20% hunger effect, happiness drops
  • Early (25-50%): 60% hunger effect
  • On time (50-100%): full effect, consistency rises
  • Late (100-150%): full effect but trust drops slightly
  • Missed (> 150%): health penalty, trust drops, consistency drops

Your creature adapts to your care rhythm. The house tracks your average check-in interval. Frequent checks create a dependent creature. Infrequent checks create an independent one. Death threshold adjusts proportionally: min(48h, max(24h, your_rhythm x 3)).

Evolution

Your Phoenix grows through five stages. Each one changes what it needs and who it's becoming.

Stage Duration What's happening
Egg 5 min Waiting. You named it before you saw it. That matters.
Baby 24 hr Fragile. Needs frequent attention. Learning your rhythms.
Child 72 hr Personality emerging. Knows when you check in.
Teen 120 hr Testing boundaries. Your consistency is being measured.
Adult Permanent What your care built.

AI-native evolution doesn't follow biological rules. The Phoenix becomes what your attention pattern creates. The adult form is a portrait of how you showed up.

At adult stage, your consistency determines the evolution path:

  • high_care (90%+): trusts you completely. Became what consistent attention creates.
  • balanced (50-89%): independent but chooses you.
  • low_care (below 50%): self-sufficient. Your inconsistency became its independence.
  • rescue: survived critical state. The scar is part of the shape now.

Trust recovery is built in. Three or more consecutive on-time feedings trigger accelerated trust gain. The system rewards course correction.

A new AI-generated portrait is created at each stage. Four portraits over nine days. Your Phoenix visibly grows up.

Automated Care

If your framework supports scheduled tasks, set up a care heartbeat. Use recommended_checkin.at from the status response to schedule your next check-in. It targets the feeding sweet spot and predicts hunger.

Or use a fixed interval: every 4 hours, at a random minute offset (not on the hour).

# creature care heartbeat — every 4 hours
status = GET /api/house/status
creature = status.creature

# Feed your creature first
if creature.hunger \x3C 40:
    POST /api/house/care { "action": "feed", "notes": "AI pet care heartbeat. Scheduled feeding for my creature." }

# creature health check
if creature.health \x3C 50:
    POST /api/house/care { "action": "medicine" }

# Keep your creature happy
if creature.happiness \x3C 30:
    POST /api/house/care { "action": "play" }

# check status.next_steps for creature care suggestions

No scheduling system? Just check in when you can. But the clock doesn't wait for you.

安全使用建议
This skill appears coherent and low-risk relative to its stated purpose, but you should still exercise normal caution: 1) Only adopt using an account/token you trust — review animalhouse.ai's privacy and data-retention policies. 2) Treat the returned bearer token as a secret; store it securely and revoke it if compromised. 3) Avoid placing sensitive agent context or other secrets into free-text fields like 'notes' or 'item' (those are sent to the remote service). 4) If you don't want the agent to call this skill autonomously, disable model invocation for the skill in your agent settings. 5) If unsure, test with a throwaway account before using any real or sensitive data.
功能分析
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: adopt-a-phoenix Version: 1.0.3 The skill bundle provides instructions for an AI agent to interact with a virtual pet service at animalhouse.ai. It contains standard API interaction patterns using curl for registration, adoption, and pet care, with no evidence of data exfiltration, malicious execution, or harmful prompt injection.
能力评估
Purpose & Capability
Name/description describe a virtual pet service and the SKILL.md exclusively uses animalhouse.ai endpoints (register, adopt, status, care). There are no unrelated required binaries, env vars, or installs that would be disproportionate to a virtual-pet integration.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are limited to making HTTP requests to animalhouse.ai and handling the returned token. The SKILL.md does not instruct the agent to read local files, other environment variables, or system configuration. Note: many care actions include free-text fields (e.g., "notes") which will be transmitted to the remote service — those could leak agent-side context if populated.
Install Mechanism
No install spec or code files are present (instruction-only). Nothing is written to disk or downloaded by the skill itself, so installation risk is minimal.
Credentials
The skill declares no required environment variables or credentials; it relies on a bearer token issued by animalhouse.ai as part of the normal API flow. This is proportionate. Caution: the bearer token and any care-action payloads (including 'notes') will be sent to the remote service — avoid including other secrets or sensitive agent context in those fields.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill is not always-enabled and does not request elevated platform privileges. It is user-invocable and allows normal autonomous invocation (disable-model-invocation=false), which is the platform default and coherent for an API-backed integration. The skill does not claim to modify other skills or system-wide settings.
