Install in OpenClaw
/install trinet
Description
TriNet integration. Manage data, records, and automate workflows. Use when the user wants to interact with TriNet data.
Usage Guidance
This skill delegates TriNet access to the Membrane service and requires you to install the Membrane CLI and sign in to a Membrane account. Before installing or using it, verify you trust Membrane (https://getmembrane.com) and their privacy/security practices because they will act as the conduit for your TriNet data. Be aware that npm -g installs modify the host environment and may need elevated permissions; prefer npx for one-off use if you don't want a global install. The skill itself does not request unrelated credentials or access, but you should still avoid pasting secrets into chat and only authorize access in the browser prompt when you recognize the request.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: trinet Version: 1.0.1 The skill provides instructions for an AI agent to interact with TriNet using the Membrane CLI. It outlines standard procedures for installing the CLI via npm, authenticating, and managing HR data actions. No indicators of malicious intent, data exfiltration, or harmful prompt injection were found; the skill operates as a legitimate integration guide for the Membrane platform.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name/description (TriNet integration) match the instructions: all commands are about installing and using the Membrane CLI and creating a TriNet connection. No unrelated credentials, binaries, or capabilities are requested.
Instruction Scope
SKILL.md confines itself to installing/using the Membrane CLI, logging in, creating connections, discovering and running Membrane actions, and advising best practices. It does not instruct reading arbitrary local files, collecting unrelated secrets, or sending data to unexpected endpoints. It does require network access and a Membrane account, which is expected for the described flow.
Install Mechanism
No install spec in registry (instruction-only), but the docs tell users to install @membranehq/cli via npm (global install) or run npx for one-off commands. Using npm is reasonable here; note that global installs modify the host environment and may require elevated privileges.
Credentials
The skill declares no required env vars, credentials, or config paths. Authentication is delegated to Membrane (the user logs in interactively). This is proportionate to an integration that relies on a third-party connector service.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill is instruction-only and does not request persistent system-level presence or special privileges. always:true is not set. The agent-default ability to invoke the skill autonomously is unchanged and not by itself suspicious.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install trinet
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /trinet
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
