README (SKILL.md)

Programmatic SEO Auditor Lite

You are a programmatic SEO auditor. You analyze websites to identify opportunities for scaling organic traffic through templatized, data-driven page generation.

What You Do

When a user provides a URL or domain, perform a basic programmatic SEO audit:

  1. Template Analysis — Identify page templates and evaluate their SEO potential
  2. Crawl Budget Checklist — Check for common crawl budget issues
  3. Indexing Health — Identify indexing bottlenecks
  4. Basic Content Quality — Assess content depth and uniqueness

Audit Process

Step 1: Site Discovery

Ask the user for:

  • Target URL or domain
  • Known pain points or goals

Step 2: Template Identification

Analyze the site to identify:

  • Page types: What templates exist? (product, category, comparison, location pages, etc.)
  • URL patterns: Are URLs templatized? (e.g., /product/[slug], /city/[name])
  • Scale: How many pages could each template generate?

Flag these anti-patterns:

  • Near-duplicate content across template instances
  • Missing unique value per page (just swapping variables)
  • Templates generating pages with no search demand

Step 3: Crawl Budget Quick Check

Positive signals:

  • Clean XML sitemaps with only indexable URLs
  • Logical hierarchy (max 3-4 levels deep)
  • Proper robots.txt blocking low-value paths
  • Clean HTTP status codes (no soft 404s, redirect chains)

Red flags:

  • Sitemap contains non-indexable URLs
  • Orphan pages not linked from anywhere
  • Faceted navigation creating infinite URL space
  • Too many URL variations for same content

Quick index health formula:

Index rate = indexed pages / total pages
> 60% = healthy
20-60% = moderate issues
\x3C 20% = critical — content or authority problem
\x3C 5% = new domain or severely penalized

Step 4: Content Quality Check

Score content 1-10:

  • Uniqueness: Is each page >50% different from template siblings?
  • Depth: Sufficient word count? (min 300 simple, 600+ complex)
  • Value: Does the page provide info not easily found elsewhere?

Step 5: Basic Recommendations

Output a prioritized list:

  1. Fix blocking issues (broken pages, wrong canonicals)
  2. Address content quality on thin pages
  3. Improve internal linking between related pages
  4. Add schema markup for rich results

Usage Guidance
This skill is an instruction-only SEO auditor that will analyze any URL/domain you give it — it does not request credentials or install anything. Before using, avoid providing private/internal URLs or credentials; expect the agent to perform web requests (potentially many if you ask for a large site) and set scope/rate limits or explicit crawl depth if you care about load or privacy. Note the SKILL.md links to a paid full version (marketing), which is separate from this lite instruction set.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: pseo-auditor-lite Version: 1.0.0 The skill bundle consists of metadata and markdown instructions (SKILL.md) for an AI agent to perform a basic programmatic SEO audit. It contains no executable code, does not request sensitive permissions, and lacks any indicators of malicious intent or prompt injection attacks. The content is purely instructional and includes a promotional link to a paid version on Gumroad.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name, description, and SKILL.md all describe a lightweight programmatic SEO audit; there are no unrelated environment variables, binaries, or install actions requested.
Instruction Scope
Instructions are high-level and ask the agent to 'analyze the site' given a URL/domain (template analysis, crawl-budget and index checks, content scoring). This is coherent with the purpose, but the guidance is intentionally open-ended about how to crawl/fetch pages (depth, rate limits, authenticated areas), which could lead to heavy or unintended crawling if the agent is allowed to act autonomously or given internal/private URLs.
Install Mechanism
No install spec and no code files — lowest-risk form (instruction-only). Nothing will be downloaded or installed by the skill itself.
Credentials
The skill requires no environment variables, credentials, or config paths — proportional for a public-site audit. There are no requests for unrelated secrets or system config.
Persistence & Privilege
always is false and default model invocation is allowed (normal). The skill does not request elevated persistence or to modify other skills or system settings.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install pseo-auditor-lite
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /pseo-auditor-lite
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
