README (SKILL.md)

Jira

Operate Jira through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the jira connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Productivity, Developer Tools. Exposes 7 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Jira. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "jira" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "jira" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • add_comment — Add a comment to one Jira issue.
  • create_issue — Create a Jira issue and return the normalized issue detail.
  • get_issue — Get one Jira issue by issue ID or key.
  • get_project — Get one Jira project by project ID or key.
  • list_issue_comments — List comments for one Jira issue.
  • list_projects — List Jira projects available to the connected Jira site.
  • search_issues — Search Jira issues with JQL on the connected Jira site.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Jira state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Jira is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: OAuth2) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=jira

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install this only in a workspace where you trust the publisher and the local CLI credentials available to your agent. Review any authenticated or state-changing command before letting the agent run it, especially moderation, publishing, or repository maintenance actions.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The inspected artifacts are purpose-aligned with ClawHub/OpenClaw maintenance workflows; sensitive operations that appear in local instructions, such as moderation or review commands, are tied to the stated task purpose.
Instruction Scope
Some instructions can lead an agent to use authenticated CLIs or high-impact maintenance commands, but the artifacts frame these as user-directed workflows with explicit targets and confirmation expectations.
Install Mechanism
I did not find hidden install-time execution, obfuscated setup, or unexpected package installation behavior in the available skill artifacts.
Credentials
Runtime use may rely on existing local credentials or environment configuration for the relevant CLI/API tools, which is expected for maintenance integrations but should be limited to trusted workspaces.
Persistence & Privilege
No unbounded background persistence or privilege escalation was identified; any durable effects appear to come from user-invoked commands such as moderation, publishing, or review workflows.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-jira
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-jira
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Initial release of the `oo-jira` skill for operating Jira through an OOMOL-connected account via the `oo` CLI. - Supports reading Jira data, including listing projects, fetching project details, retrieving issues by ID or key, searching issues with JQL, and listing issue comments. - Adds write capabilities for creating Jira issues and adding comments to existing issues. - Uses live connector schema inspection before action execution, helping payloads stay aligned with the current Jira connector contract. - Includes safety guidance that allows read actions directly while requiring user confirmation before actions that change Jira state.
