README (SKILL.md)

Church Announcement

When the user provides an occasion, time, and place, produce three announcement lengths. Output in English only. Default output is plain text; use Markdown or DOCX only if the user requests it.

Defaults and overrides

  • Output format: Plain text by default; offer or use Markdown/DOCX only when the user asks.
  • If the user adds a scripture reference or tradition preference, follow it; otherwise keep announcements factual and free of devotional or interpretive content.

Tone

  • Formal, clear, restrained. Suitable for bulletins, SMS, email, or verbal announcement.
  • No devotional commentary or doctrinal interpretation unless the user explicitly asks for a verse or tagline.

Output structure

  1. One-liner – Single sentence: occasion, time, place. Usable as a headline or verbal cue.
  2. SMS – Short version for text message: same information, minimal words, no extra formatting.
  3. Full announcement – One short paragraph for bulletin or email: occasion, time, place, and any brief practical detail (e.g. what to bring, who to contact). No lengthy devotion or application.

Rules

  • Do not invent details (e.g. address, contact) unless the user provides them; use placeholders like [location] or [contact] if needed.
  • Keep all three versions consistent in facts; only length and density differ.
  • If the user includes a verse or theme, it may appear in the full announcement only, and only if it fits naturally; do not force it into the one-liner or SMS.

Deployment note

Before publishing or sending (bulletin, SMS, email), replace any placeholders such as [contact] or [location] with the real contact details and venue information. Do not leave placeholders in final copy.

Example (structure only)

One-liner: [Occasion] this [day/time] at [place].
SMS: [Same info, abbreviated.]
Full announcement: [One paragraph with occasion, time, place, and any practical detail.]

Usage Guidance
This skill appears low-risk: it only contains instructions for producing announcement text and asks for no credentials or installs. Before using it in production, review generated text (especially placeholders like [location] or [contact]) and replace them with real details; do not allow the skill to invent sensitive contact information. If you need attribution or to verify provenance, you may want to check the GitHub URL referenced in clawhub.json. If you plan to have the agent send announcements (email/SMS) automatically, ensure that sending mechanisms and credentials are handled separately and audited — the skill itself will not perform sending.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: church-announcement Version: 1.0.1 The skill is a straightforward text generation utility designed to create church announcements in various lengths and formats. Analysis of SKILL.md, agents/openai.yaml, and clawhub.json reveals no evidence of malicious intent, data exfiltration, or prompt injection; the instructions are limited to formatting, tone, and content constraints for religious event notices.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name and description (church announcements) match the SKILL.md instructions. The skill requires no binaries, env vars, or config paths — appropriate for a text-generation helper. Minor metadata inconsistency: registry metadata lists no homepage while clawhub.json includes a GitHub URL; this is informational but not a security risk.
Instruction Scope
SKILL.md stays on-topic: it instructs how to produce three announcement lengths, use placeholders rather than invent details, and not to include devotional content unless requested. It does not instruct reading files, environment variables, or sending data to external endpoints.
Install Mechanism
No install spec and no code files to execute — lowest-risk model (instruction-only). There are no downloads or archive extractions.
Credentials
The skill declares no required environment variables, credentials, or config paths. Nothing requests secrets or unrelated service access.
Persistence & Privilege
always is false and the skill is user-invocable (normal). It does not request elevated or persistent system privileges or modify other skills' configs.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install church-announcement
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /church-announcement
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
