README (SKILL.md)

Scrape.do

Operate Scrape.do through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the scrape_do connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Developer Tools, Data & Analytics. Exposes 4 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Scrape.do. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "scrape_do" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "scrape_do" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • fetch_html — Fetch one public URL through Scrape.do and return the synchronous response body.
  • fetch_json — Fetch one public URL through Scrape.do returnJSON mode and return the parsed JSON payload.
  • get_account_info — Retrieve Scrape.do account information and usage counters for the API token.
  • take_screenshot — Render one public URL through Scrape.do and return a screenshot as base64.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Scrape.do state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Scrape.do is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=scrape_do

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install only if you intend to use Scrape.do through OOMOL and are comfortable connecting your Scrape.do API key to that service. Do not use the fetch or screenshot actions for private, authenticated, internal-only, regulated, or sensitive URLs unless third-party processing by Scrape.do/OOMOL is approved. If the oo CLI is missing, prefer reviewing the official install guide and installer source before running the provided curl-to-bash or PowerShell install command.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The stated purpose is to operate Scrape.do via the OOMOL oo CLI, and the listed actions match that purpose: fetch public URL HTML, fetch public URL JSON, take a public URL screenshot, and retrieve account usage information.
Instruction Scope
Runtime scope is mostly narrow because allowed tools are limited to Bash(oo *) and the skill tells the agent to inspect schemas before running connector actions. It also says read actions are safe and requires confirmation for state-changing or destructive actions, though the published actions are read-oriented.
Install Mechanism
The first-time setup section includes curl-to-bash and PowerShell iex installer commands for the oo CLI. This is disclosed and tied to installing the required CLI, but it is a supply-chain risk users should treat as a manual, trusted-source install step.
Credentials
Network use and Scrape.do/OOMOL account access are proportionate to the web scraping purpose. The action docs repeatedly say public URLs, but they do not add an explicit warning not to send internal, authenticated, regulated, or sensitive targets through the third-party service.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill does not add background workers, local indexing, hidden persistence, or broad filesystem access. Account connection and authentication are disclosed as one-time OOMOL/Scrape.do setup, with credentials injected server-side rather than raw tokens handled by the agent.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-scrape-do
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-scrape-do
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
