README (SKILL.md)

OneSignal

Operate OneSignal through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the onesignal_rest_api connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Communication, Marketing. Exposes 4 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected OneSignal. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "onesignal_rest_api" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "onesignal_rest_api" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • cancel_message — Cancel one scheduled OneSignal message by id.
  • create_push_notification — Create a push notification for the connected OneSignal app using one official targeting method.
  • get_message — Retrieve one OneSignal message by id from the connected app.
  • list_messages — List messages from the connected OneSignal app.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change OneSignal state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — OneSignal is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=onesignal_rest_api

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install this only if you intend to let OOMOL broker access to your OneSignal account. Before using it, verify the oo CLI installer source or install the CLI through a trusted method, and require explicit confirmation of recipients, message content, payload, and cancellation targets before any create or cancel action.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The OneSignal actions match the stated purpose, but creating push notifications and canceling scheduled messages can affect real users, so they should be treated as high-impact account actions.
Instruction Scope
The trigger language is broad for any OneSignal request, but the runtime instructions stay service-scoped, require schema inspection, and tell the agent to confirm state-changing actions before running them.
Install Mechanism
First-time setup includes disclosed pipe-to-shell install commands for the oo CLI on macOS/Linux and Windows; this is a supply-chain caution, but it is not hidden automatic execution.
Credentials
Use of Bash limited to oo commands, OOMOL authentication, and a connected OneSignal API key is proportionate for this connector skill.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill relies on persistent OOMOL login and OneSignal connection state, but the artifacts show no background worker, local credential scraping, broad file access, privilege escalation, or unrelated persistence.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-onesignal-rest-api
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-onesignal-rest-api
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Initial release of the `oo-onesignal-rest-api` skill for operating OneSignal through an OOMOL-connected account. - Adds OneSignal push notification creation via the `create_push_notification` action, using official OneSignal targeting methods. - Supports message lookup and browsing with `get_message` and `list_messages` for the connected OneSignal app. - Adds scheduled message cancellation through the `cancel_message` action. - Uses the `onesignal_rest_api` connector through the `oo` CLI, with credentials injected server-side so raw OneSignal tokens are not handled locally. - Documents schema-first execution and safety guidance for read, write, and destructive OneSignal operations.
