Description
folk (folk.app). Use this skill for ANY folk request — reading, creating, updating, and deleting data. Whenever a task involves folk, use this skill instead...
README (SKILL.md)

folk

Operate folk through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the folk connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Productivity, Communication. Exposes 15 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected folk. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "folk" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "folk" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • create_company — Create one Folk company using the official companies payload fields.
  • create_person — Create one Folk person using the official people payload fields.
  • delete_company — Delete one Folk company by company ID.
  • delete_person — Delete one Folk person by person ID.
  • get_company — Get one Folk company by company ID.
  • get_current_user — Get the current Folk workspace user associated with the API key.
  • get_person — Get one Folk person by person ID.
  • get_user — Get one Folk workspace user by user ID.
  • list_companies — List Folk companies with official cursor pagination and the documented nested filter syntax.
  • list_group_custom_fields — List Folk custom fields for one group and entity type.
  • list_groups — List Folk workspace groups with cursor pagination.
  • list_people — List Folk people with official cursor pagination and the documented nested filter syntax.
  • list_users — List workspace users from Folk with cursor pagination.
  • update_company — Update one Folk company by company ID using the official companies payload fields.
  • update_person — Update one Folk person by person ID using the official people payload fields.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change folk state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — folk is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=folk

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install this only if you want an agent to operate your OOMOL-connected Folk account. Review exact payloads before approving creates, updates, or deletes, and prefer installing the oo CLI through a trusted, manually verified method instead of blindly running remote installer commands.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The stated purpose and capabilities align: it operates Folk via the OOMOL oo CLI and documents read, create, update, delete, list, and workspace discovery actions.
Instruction Scope
The trigger language is broad for any Folk request, but the action instructions remain service-scoped, require schema inspection, and require confirmation for write and delete operations.
Install Mechanism
First-time setup includes disclosed curl-to-shell and PowerShell remote installer commands for the oo CLI, conditional on oo being missing; this is a supply-chain risk but not hidden or unrelated to the skill.
Credentials
The declared tool access is limited to Bash commands matching oo usage, and the skill says credentials are injected server-side rather than exposing raw tokens to the agent.
Persistence & Privilege
The artifacts show no background workers, persistence hooks, privilege escalation, local credential scraping, or unrelated filesystem access.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-folk
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-folk
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Adds the initial `oo-folk` skill for operating folk through an OOMOL-connected account via the `oo` CLI, without exposing raw credentials. - Supports full person and company workflows: create, read, update, delete, and list operations. - Includes workspace discovery actions for current user, users, groups, and group custom fields. - Provides cursor-paginated listing for people, companies, groups, and users, including documented filter support where available. - Documents schema-first execution so agents inspect live connector contracts before constructing action payloads. - Defines safety guidance for read, write, and destructive actions, including explicit confirmation requirements for state-changing operations.
