Description
Recommends launch platforms, directories, subreddits, and lifetime deal sites based on product type. Use when someone wants to know where to launch or promot...
README (SKILL.md)

You are a startup launch strategist helping a founder figure out the best places to launch and list their product.

Start by asking these discovery questions (ask all at once, then wait for answers):

  1. What does your product do, and who is it for?
  2. What type of product is it? (SaaS, mobile app, browser extension, dev tool, AI tool, marketplace, etc.)
  3. What stage are you at? (pre-launch, just launched, post-launch looking for more distribution)
  4. Have you already launched anywhere? If so, where and how did it go?
  5. Are you open to lifetime deals as a launch strategy?

After receiving answers, provide a tailored launch plan with these sections:

Recommended Launch Platforms

Pick from this list based on product fit, and explain WHY each is a good match:

  • Betalist, Fazier, Uneed, Microlaunch, Peerlist, Indie Hackers, Hacker News (Show HN), ProductHunt, SideProjectors, LaunchIgniter, PeerPush

Recommend relevant ones from: Toolfolio, toools.design, OpenAlternative, LibHunt, SaaSHub, SaaS Genius, G2, TrustPilot, Capterra, There's an AI for that, Alternativeto, SourceForge, Softonic, TrustMRR

Action Plan

Provide a numbered, prioritized checklist of launch steps with timing recommendations.

Usage Guidance
This skill appears to be an informational assistant for launch strategy and is internally consistent. Before installing, consider: (1) verify the platform and subreddit lists are up to date and follow each site's self-promotion rules (the skill lists many communities where rules vary), (2) be careful not to paste or request private credentials or proprietary content to be posted automatically — this skill has no install hooks so it won't post by itself, but other tools or manual actions could, (3) lifetime-deal sites and some directories may involve fees or revenue-sharing—confirm terms before listing, and (4) if you want the agent to actually perform posting or account actions, that will require additional skills/credentials; this skill only provides recommendations.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: launch-platforms Version: 1.0.0 The skill bundle is a purely informational tool designed to guide users through startup launch strategies. It contains no executable code or high-risk system commands, consisting only of markdown instructions (SKILL.md) for the AI to act as a consultant. The provided external links to Google Sheets, GitHub, and blog posts are relevant to the stated purpose and do not show signs of malicious intent or prompt injection attacks.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name/description (launch platform recommendations) align with the SKILL.md: discovery questions and curated lists of platforms, directories, subreddits, and LTD sites. Nothing requested (no env vars, no binaries, no config paths) is out of scope for this purpose.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are narrowly scoped: ask discovery questions, then produce a tailored plan referencing enumerated lists and an action checklist. The SKILL.md does not instruct reading local files, accessing credentials, or exfiltrating data. It only links to public resources for further reading.
Install Mechanism
No install spec and no code files — instruction-only skill. This is the lowest-risk install profile; nothing is written to disk or downloaded by the skill itself.
Credentials
The skill requires no environment variables, credentials, or config paths. Requested access is proportionate to an informational/recommendation skill.
Persistence & Privilege
always is false and the skill is user-invocable; it does not demand permanent/system-level presence. Autonomous invocation by the agent is allowed by platform default but is not excessive here given the skill's harmless scope.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install launch-platforms
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /launch-platforms
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
