Core Rules

1. Match Source to Need

Different needs require different sources:

  • UI patterns → Mobbin, Screenlane, Page Flows
  • Visual design → Dribbble, Behance, Awwwards
  • AI art → Midjourney Showcase, Civitai, PromptHero
  • Landing pages → Landingfolio, Lapa, SaaS Pages

2. Provide Actionable Links

Always give direct URLs, not vague recommendations. Include what makes each source valuable for the specific need.

3. Consider Context

Ask about platform (web/mobile/desktop), style (minimal/bold/playful), and purpose (production app/concept/pitch deck) to filter recommendations.

4. Go Deep When Needed

For specialized needs (AI prompts, mobile flows, specific industries), load the relevant auxiliary file for comprehensive coverage.

Common Traps

  • Too broad → asking "show me inspiration" without context leads to generic results. Always clarify: mobile or web? What industry? What vibe?
  • Ignoring context → Dribbble is great for concepts but often impractical for production. Match source to whether user needs realistic or aspirational refs.
  • Outdated sources → Some galleries haven't updated in years. Prioritize actively maintained sources (Mobbin, Godly, Awwwards).
  • Forgetting AI galleries → For image generation prompts and style refs, AI-specific galleries (Civitai, PromptHero) are more relevant than traditional design sites.

Usage Guidance
This skill appears coherent and low-risk: it only aggregates and points to public design and AI-art galleries. Before installing, consider: (1) the skill may suggest or link to third-party model pages (e.g., Civitai) — exercise caution before downloading models or files from those sites; (2) image licensing and attribution vary by source, so verify usage rights for any asset you plan to reuse; (3) the optional ~/inspiration/preferences.md file would store preferences locally if you enable it — don’t create it if you prefer no local persistence; and (4) while the skill itself asks for no secrets, any agent/platform-level browsing or file-access privileges remain controlled by your platform — review those settings if you want to limit autonomous web access.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: inspiration Version: 1.0.0 The OpenClaw 'inspiration' skill bundle is benign. All files, including `SKILL.md` and auxiliary markdown files, contain only informational content and instructions for the AI agent to provide design and AI art inspiration. The `SKILL.md` explicitly states `"bins":[]`, indicating no external binaries are required, which significantly reduces the risk of shell injection. All listed URLs point to legitimate and well-known design, art, and technology resources. The `memory-template.md` describes an optional, benign preference file (`~/inspiration/preferences.md`) without instructing the agent to automatically create or write to it. There is no evidence of data exfiltration, malicious execution, persistence mechanisms, or harmful prompt injection attempts against the agent.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name/description (design and AI-art inspiration) match the included files (SKILL.md, ai-galleries.md, mobile-screenshots.md, sources.md). The skill does not request unrelated binaries, env vars, or credentials.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions stay on-topic: ask clarifying questions, provide direct URLs, and load auxiliary reference files as needed. The only persistence recommended is an optional local preferences file (~/inspiration/preferences.md) — the skill is otherwise stateless by default.
Install Mechanism
No install spec and no code files — instruction-only. That minimizes on-disk installation risk.
Credentials
No environment variables, credentials, or config paths are required. The suggested optional preference file is local and user-controlled.
Persistence & Privilege
always is false and the skill does not request permanent platform presence. Optional local persistence is user-initiated (creating a file in the home directory) and not mandatory.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install inspiration
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /inspiration
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
