README (SKILL.md)

AI Deep Research — AnyGen

This skill uses the AnyGen CLI to generate in-depth research and analysis reports server-side at www.anygen.io.

Authentication

# Web login (opens browser, auto-configures key)
anygen auth login --no-wait

# Direct API key
anygen auth login --api-key sk-xxx

# Or set env var
export ANYGEN_API_KEY=sk-xxx

When any command fails with an auth error, run anygen auth login --no-wait and ask the user to complete browser authorization. Retry after login succeeds.

How to use

Follow the anygen-workflow-generate skill with operation type deep_research.

If the anygen-workflow-generate skill is not available, install it first:

anygen skill install --platform \x3Copenclaw|claude-code> -y
Usage Guidance
This skill appears coherent: it needs the AnyGen CLI and one API key to operate. Before installing, verify you trust AnyGen/@anygen/cli on npm (review the package and the publisher), ensure the ANYGEN_API_KEY you provide has minimal necessary scope, and avoid sending sensitive secrets or customer data to the service. Be aware the CLI may open a browser for auth and that generated research will be processed by AnyGen's servers (www.anygen.io). If you want extra caution, inspect the installed @anygen/cli code or run it in a constrained environment before supplying production credentials.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: anygen-deep-research Version: 3.0.0 The skill is a legitimate integration for the AnyGen CLI tool, designed to perform deep research and market analysis. It follows standard patterns for CLI-based skills, including installing a package from npm (@anygen/cli) and managing authentication via environment variables or browser-based login. No evidence of data exfiltration, malicious execution, or harmful prompt injection was found in SKILL.md or _meta.json.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name/description (deep research) align with required binary (anygen) and the single API credential ANYGEN_API_KEY. Requesting the AnyGen CLI and API key is expected for a server-side report-generation integration.
Instruction Scope
SKILL.md only instructs use of the AnyGen CLI, API-key or browser auth flows, and optionally installing a related AnyGen workflow skill. It does not direct reading of unrelated files, system paths, or other environment variables, nor does it instruct exfiltration to unexpected endpoints beyond anygen.io.
Install Mechanism
The install uses an npm package (@anygen/cli) to provide the anygen binary. This is an expected distribution method for a CLI but carries the usual npm risks (package content from registry). No direct download URLs or obscure hosts are used.
Credentials
Only ANYGEN_API_KEY is required and is declared as the primary credential. The single credential is proportionate to the skill's purpose. Ensure the key's scope and permissions are appropriate before supplying it.
Persistence & Privilege
Skill does not request always:true, does not require system config paths, and does not modify other skills. Model invocation/autonomy is enabled (platform default) but not excessive here.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install anygen-deep-research
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /anygen-deep-research
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v3.0.0
anygen-deep-research 3.0.0 - Migrated from Python scripts to the official AnyGen CLI (`@anygen/cli`) for all operations. - Simplified authentication: now uses `anygen auth login` with browser or API key (no more file config). - Updated requirements and install instructions; removed references to Python scripts. - Requires the `anygen-workflow-generate` skill to execute deep research workflows. - Removed bundled Python scripts: `anygen.py`, `auth.py`, and `fileutil.py`.
v1.3.4
anygen-deep-research v1.3.4 - Expanded skill documentation for stricter workflow and multilingual support. - Communication rules updated: present AnyGen research outlines and prompts without rephrasing or summarizing, and translate faithfully if needed. - Markdown links required when prompting for API key, ensuring the URL is fully clickable. - Sessions and environment requirements now explicitly declared in metadata for better integration. - Minor adjustments to workflow phases for clarity and consistency.
v1.3.3
- Clarified the file handling workflow: now mandates user consent before both reading and uploading files, ensuring privacy. - Reordered and simplified security and permissions sections for better readability and reduced redundancy. - Provided clearer instructions on the use of script outputs: emphasized not to expose technical identifiers to users and keep agent-user conversations natural. - Updated the first phase of the workflow to specify the requirement for consent and content extraction order. - No changes to core capabilities or functionality; documentation and process clarified for user transparency.
v1.3.2
anygen-deep-research v1.3.2 - Added `scripts/auth.py` and `scripts/fileutil.py` to modularize authentication and file utilities. - Updated `SKILL.md` for improved security and clarity: clarified exact network/API key usage, file access, and communication style. - Improved documentation for required environment variables and config locations. - Broadened explanation of permissions and external API calls, especially around file uploading and monitoring phases. - Refined communication style rules to further prevent technical or internal terms being exposed to users.
v1.3.1
Script fix
v1.3.0
Major SKILL.md and script update with enhanced dialogue mode and monitoring
