README (SKILL.md)

Plain

Operate Plain through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the plain connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Communication, Productivity. Exposes 4 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Plain. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "plain" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "plain" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • get_customer_by_email — Fetch one Plain customer by exact email address.
  • get_customer_by_external_id — Fetch one Plain customer by exact external ID.
  • search_customers — Search Plain customers with one human-oriented term across full name, short name, email, and external ID.
  • upsert_customer — Create or update one Plain customer using exactly one identifier plus create and update payloads.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Plain state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Plain is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=plain

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install this only if you intend to let an agent access your Plain account through OOMOL. Review the Plain connection scopes, confirm any customer create/update payload before it runs, and prefer installing the oo CLI from a trusted source rather than blindly running the remote installer command.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The stated purpose is to operate Plain through an OOMOL-connected account, and the artifacts expose Plain customer lookup, search, and upsert actions that match that purpose.
Instruction Scope
The trigger wording is broad for Plain-related requests, but the runtime instructions are service-specific, require schema inspection, and call out confirmation before create or update actions.
Install Mechanism
The setup section includes curl-to-bash and PowerShell remote installer commands for the oo CLI only as fallback steps when the CLI is missing; this is disclosed but should be treated as higher-risk setup guidance.
Credentials
The allowed tool scope is limited to oo CLI commands, and credentials are described as handled server-side by OOMOL rather than exposed directly to the agent.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill can mutate Plain customer records through upsert_customer, but it explicitly instructs confirmation of the exact payload and effect before write actions and does not define background persistence or destructive deletion behavior.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-plain
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-plain
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Initial release of the `oo-plain` skill for operating Plain through an OOMOL-connected account via the `oo` CLI. - Adds customer lookup by exact email address or exact external ID. - Adds customer search across full name, short name, email, and external ID using a single human-oriented query term. - Adds customer upsert support for creating or updating one Plain customer with an explicit identifier and payload. - Documents the standard schema-first workflow, JSON command format, response shape, and setup fallbacks for authentication, connection, and billing errors. - Includes safety guidance that read actions can run directly while write actions require confirmation of the exact payload and intended effect.
