README (SKILL.md)

Mem0

Operate Mem0 through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the mem0 connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: AI, Data & Analytics. Exposes 10 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Mem0. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "mem0" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "mem0" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • add_memories — Add new memories to Mem0 from messages or direct memory text.
  • delete_memory — Delete a Mem0 memory by memory ID.
  • get_event — Get a single Mem0 event by event ID.
  • get_events — List Mem0 events for the current API key.
  • get_memories — List memories from Mem0 with v2 advanced filters.
  • get_memory — Get a single memory from Mem0 by memory ID.
  • get_memory_history — Get the change history of a Mem0 memory by memory ID.
  • get_users — List user entities from Mem0, optionally scoped by org and project.
  • search_memories — Search memories in Mem0 with semantic query and optional filters.
  • update_memory — Update text or metadata of a Mem0 memory by memory ID.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Mem0 state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Mem0 is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=mem0

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install only if you intend to connect Mem0 through OOMOL and are comfortable letting the agent read/search Mem0 data and list related users/events. Review exact payloads before any create, update, or delete action, especially because memory contents may contain sensitive personal or business information.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The requested capabilities match the stated Mem0 purpose, including listing/searching memories, viewing events/users, and performing write/delete actions.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are scoped to `oo connector` commands, require schema inspection before payload construction, and explicitly require user confirmation for write and delete actions.
Install Mechanism
First-time setup includes standard remote installer commands for the oo CLI and OOMOL login, but the skill says to use them only after auth or missing-command failures.
Credentials
Use of an OOMOL-connected Mem0 account and server-side credential injection is sensitive but proportionate for operating a Mem0 integration.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill can persist, modify, and delete remote Mem0 memories, but this is disclosed and aligned with purpose; no hidden local persistence or background worker behavior was found.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-mem0
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-mem0
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Initial release of the `oo-mem0` skill for operating Mem0 through an OOMOL-connected account via the `oo` CLI. - Supports creating memories from messages or direct memory text, plus updating memory text or metadata. - Provides memory retrieval workflows, including listing memories with advanced filters, fetching individual memories, and viewing memory change history. - Adds semantic memory search with optional filters for targeted lookup. - Includes Mem0 event and user inspection actions for listing events, fetching a single event, and listing user entities. - Documents safety guidance for state-changing and destructive actions, including confirmation requirements before writes and deletes.
