README (SKILL.md)

Discord

Operate Discord through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the discord connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Communication, Social. Exposes 16 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Discord. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "discord" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "discord" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Discord state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Discord is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: OAuth2) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=discord

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install only if you are comfortable connecting Discord to OOMOL and allowing the agent to run oo CLI connector commands for Discord lookups. Treat this version as read-oriented despite the broad description, and be cautious if asked to use it for posting, editing, deleting, moderation, or other Discord write/admin tasks that are not listed in its action files.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The stated purpose is Discord access via the OOMOL oo CLI with server-side OAuth credentials, and the listed 16 actions are account/public-resource reads such as user profile, guilds, invites, widgets, OAuth info, and public keys. The description overstates support for creating/updating data, but the artifact does not document actual write actions.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions tell the agent to inspect live schemas and run specific discord connector actions. The trigger phrase says to use the skill for ANY Discord request, which is broader than the listed capabilities, but the action list and safety guidance provide visible boundaries.
Install Mechanism
The skill is markdown-only and has no bundled executable code or dependencies. It includes one-time oo CLI installation commands using curl|bash or PowerShell only if the CLI is missing, plus OAuth login/connect steps only after auth failures.
Credentials
Allowed tool access is limited to Bash commands matching oo, which is proportionate for an OOMOL connector skill. The required OAuth/sensitive-credential tags are disclosed and aligned with reading Discord account data through the connector.
Persistence & Privilege
No background workers, startup hooks, local indexing, hidden persistence, or destructive operations are present. OAuth connection persistence is part of the disclosed OOMOL account connection flow.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-discord
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-discord
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
