README (SKILL.md)

Checkout Friction Audit

Skill Card

  • Category: Conversion
  • Core problem: Which checkout steps are leaking intent and killing purchase completion?
  • Best for: Conversion rate recovery projects
  • Expected input: Checkout flow notes, abandonment signals, user complaints, policy constraints
  • Expected output: Friction map with severity, likely cause, and fix priority
  • Creatop handoff: Push fixes into sprint board and rerun after implementation

Browser-first guidance

If the checkout flow is accessible by URL or staging page, prefer OpenClaw managed browser for direct observation before producing recommendations.

Recommended order:

  1. Use any funnel notes, complaints, or screenshots the user already has.
  2. If live checkout pages are available, inspect them in OpenClaw managed browser.
  3. Use Browser Relay only when the user explicitly wants to inspect their current Chrome session.

Workflow

  1. Clarify where the drop appears to happen.
    • cart?
    • shipping step?
    • payment step?
    • mobile-specific issue?
  2. Map checkout path and identify complaint-linked touchpoints.
  3. Score friction by impact on completion and fix complexity.
  4. Separate UX friction from trust/compliance friction.
  5. Output top quick wins and structural fixes.

Output format

Return in this order:

  1. Executive summary (max 5 lines)
  2. Priority actions (P0/P1/P2)
  3. Evidence table (signal, confidence, risk)
  4. 7-day execution plan

Quality and safety rules

  • Tie each recommendation to observed evidence, not guesswork.
  • Prioritize reversible low-risk fixes first.
  • Avoid recommendations that violate platform/payment policies.
  • If the observed flow is partial, state that clearly.

Usage Guidance
This skill is a checklist/instruction set and appears coherent for auditing checkout flows. Before using it: (1) Provide only the minimum data needed (staging URLs, anonymized complaints, screenshots) and avoid sharing real customer PII unless necessary. (2) Grant Browser Relay or access to a local Chrome session only with explicit consent and awareness that the agent will inspect pages you provide. (3) If you expect the skill to create or modify sprint-board items, confirm what integration will be used and supply credentials only through the platform's secure integration mechanism — the skill itself does not request or store those credentials. (4) Note the license: non-commercial CC BY-NC-SA; obtain a commercial license from Razestar if you plan to use it commercially.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: checkout-friction-audit Version: 1.0.1 The skill bundle is a legitimate tool designed for auditing e-commerce checkout flows to improve conversion rates. The instructions in SKILL.md guide the AI agent to use the OpenClaw managed browser for UI inspection and provide structured feedback using the provided template in references/output-template.md. No malicious patterns, data exfiltration attempts, or harmful prompt injections were identified.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name, description, and instructions all focus on auditing checkout friction. There are no unrelated environment variables, binaries, or install steps requested that would be disproportionate to a conversion-audit workflow.
Instruction Scope
Instructions recommend using the platform-managed browser and Browser Relay for hands-on inspection and to use user-provided funnel notes/screenshots. This is appropriate for the purpose but does imply the agent may access live pages or a user's browser session — the skill text does require explicit user consent for Browser Relay, which is good. The guidance to 'push fixes into sprint board' is high-level and would require separate integration credentials if automated; the SKILL.md does not declare any such env vars or endpoints.
Install Mechanism
Instruction-only skill with no install spec and no code files, so nothing is written to disk or downloaded. This is low risk and proportionate to the described functionality.
Credentials
No required environment variables, credentials, or config paths are declared. The skill's actions (inspect pages, review user-provided artifacts) do not require secrets. Any integration that would modify sprint boards or external services would need separate explicit credentials not requested here.
Persistence & Privilege
always is false and autonomous invocation is allowed (platform default). There is no request to modify other skills or system-wide settings. No unusual persistence or elevated privileges are requested.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install checkout-friction-audit
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /checkout-friction-audit
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
