Install in OpenClaw
/install canonry
Description
Operate Canonry (the `cnry` / `canonry` CLI) for AEO. Load this BEFORE any canonry operator task: creating or configuring a project, connecting GSC, GA4, Bing, Google Business Profile or a Cloudflare traffic source, running or scheduling a sweep, reading mention and citation coverage, running a technical audit, submitting sitemaps, or diagnosing why a number moved. Covers anything touching cnry, canonry doctor, ~/.canonry, @canonry/canonry, the canonry_* MCP tools, mention share, or direct-push / queue-pull traffic. Load it before acting, not after something fails.
Usage Guidance
Install only if you are comfortable giving the Canonry runtime broad local and provider access. Prefer pinned/reviewed CLI versions, dedicated least-privilege provider accounts and tokens, token files or secret managers instead of command-line secrets, restrictive permissions on ~/.canonry, and explicit cleanup of schedules, webhooks, Cloudflare routes, queues, and credentials when disconnecting.
Capability Assessment
Credentials
The skill stores multiple sensitive integration credentials and OAuth tokens under ~/.canonry/config.yaml and includes examples that pass secrets through command-line arguments or URLs. It also documents Cloudflare traffic transport of raw client IPs, full query strings, and full referer URLs before storage-time redaction.
Install Mechanism
The install metadata uses a global npm install of @canonry/canonry without a pinned version, and the Cloudflare guide installs wrangler@latest globally. Because those external executables later receive provider credentials and deployment authority, the reviewed artifact does not fully bound the executable code users will run.
Instruction Scope
The skill repeatedly requires explicit approval for mutations, quota-consuming sweeps, live provider reads, WordPress access, and probes. It also documents broad default tool surfaces such as full-instance keys and Aero's default all-scope mode, so operators need to deliberately choose least-privilege scopes.
Persistence & Privilege
Persistence is disclosed, including a daemon, schedules, stored snapshots, durable agent memory, transcripts, webhooks, and traffic sources. A notable cleanup gap remains: the Cloudflare guide says there is no disconnect operation and local credential/source state remains after teardown.
Purpose & Capability
The documented capabilities are coherent with an AEO operations platform: project setup, sweeps, analytics, indexing, WordPress work, server-side traffic, GBP, and ads workflows. Several capabilities are high-impact, including website edits, traffic-source deployment, schedules, and OpenAI ads lifecycle writes.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install canonry
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /canonry
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
