Usage Guidance
This skill is internally consistent: it sends your prompt and the provided Neta token only to api.talesofai.com to generate images. Before installing, confirm you trust the Neta service and its privacy terms (your prompts and resulting images are transmitted to that provider). Be aware of potential copyright/trademark issues when generating magazine-style or branded covers (parody vs. infringement). Supply only a token you control and avoid using high-privilege credentials. If you need stronger assurance, review the JS file locally before running to verify no additional network endpoints are contacted.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: magazine-cover-generator Version: 1.0.1 The skill is a legitimate wrapper for the Neta AI image generation API (api.talesofai.com). The script (magazinecovergenerator.js) correctly handles user-provided tokens and prompts to generate images without any signs of data exfiltration, unauthorized execution, or malicious instructions.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name/description, README, SKILL.md, and the JS implementation all consistently describe generating magazine-style images via the Neta (api.talesofai.com) image API. The only credential needed is a Neta token, which is reasonable and proportional for this functionality. Minor note: registry metadata lists no required env vars, but the skill expects a token to be passed as a command-line flag rather than an env var; this is an implementation choice, not a mismatch in capability.
Instruction Scope
SKILL.md instructs the agent to run the included Node script with a prompt and a token; the instructions do not ask the agent to read unrelated files, environment variables, or system configuration, nor to send data to endpoints other than the Neta API.
Install Mechanism
There is no package install spec embedded; this is effectively instruction-only plus a small JS file. The code makes standard HTTPS requests to api.talesofai.com and does not download or execute arbitrary external archives. The README suggests installing the skill via npx/clawhub which is expected for skills.
Credentials
The skill only requires a single service credential (Neta API token) passed via --token. No unrelated credentials, secret patterns, or config paths are requested. All network calls are to the stated image API.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill is not marked always:true and does not request system-wide configuration changes or modify other skills. Autonomous invocation is allowed by default (normal) but no elevated persistence is requested by the skill itself.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install magazine-cover-generator
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /magazine-cover-generator
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
