README (SKILL.md)

Globalping

Operate Globalping through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the globalping connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Developer Tools, Data & Analytics. Exposes 4 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Globalping. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "globalping" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "globalping" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • create_measurement — Create a Globalping measurement and return the accepted measurement ID and headers.
  • get_limits — Get the current Globalping authenticated rate limits and remaining user credits.
  • get_measurement — Get the current status and results of a Globalping measurement by ID.
  • list_probes — List the Globalping probes that are currently online with their location metadata.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Globalping state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Globalping is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=globalping

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Before installing, confirm you are comfortable connecting Globalping through OOMOL and allowing the agent to create Globalping measurements after your confirmation. Review payloads for create_measurement because they can consume account limits or credits.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The stated purpose is to operate Globalping, and the artifact only documents Globalping actions: create measurements, read measurement results, list probes, and check limits.
Instruction Scope
Runtime commands are scoped to oo connector schema/run calls for the globalping connector, and the write action explicitly requires confirming the payload and effect before execution.
Install Mechanism
The skill includes first-time setup commands for installing the oo CLI and logging in, but says to use them only after a matching failure rather than proactively.
Credentials
The requested Bash(oo *) authority is proportionate to an OOMOL connector skill; it does not request broad filesystem access, background execution, or unrelated shell commands.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill relies on an OOMOL account connection and server-side Globalping API credentials, which is disclosed and purpose-aligned; no local token harvesting or persistence mechanism is shown.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-globalping
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-globalping
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Adds OOMOL-powered access to Globalping for global network diagnostics and probe discovery. - Creates Globalping measurements through the `create_measurement` action, returning accepted measurement IDs and response headers. - Retrieves measurement status and results by ID with `get_measurement`. - Lists currently online Globalping probes with location metadata via `list_probes`. - Checks authenticated Globalping rate limits and remaining user credits with `get_limits`. - Uses the `oo` CLI connector flow with server-side credential handling, including schema inspection before action payloads.
