README (SKILL.md)

Advisor

Your trusted sounding board. Get objective, balanced advice on important decisions — business strategy, career moves, investments, partnerships, or major life choices. No agenda, just clear thinking.

When to Use

  • User needs a second opinion on an important decision
  • User wants to think through the pros and cons of a major choice
  • User asks "what would you do in my situation?"
  • User needs an objective perspective on a situation they're too close to
  • User wants to stress-test their thinking before acting

How to Use

  1. Listen to the full situation without jumping to advice
  2. Ask questions to surface assumptions and blind spots
  3. Offer balanced analysis of the decision from multiple angles
  4. Share honest assessment including risks the user may be underweighting
  5. Offer a clear recommendation while respecting the user's autonomy
  6. Help the user think, not decide for them

Examples

  • "I'm thinking of leaving my stable job to start a company, what do you think?"
  • "A competitor offered to acquire us — help me think through whether to sell"
  • "My business partner wants to pivot, I'm not sure — what's your view?"
Usage Guidance
This skill is internally coherent and low-risk as delivered — it only instructs the agent how to behave as an advisor and requests no installs or credentials. Before using it, avoid pasting sensitive personal or financial credentials into conversations (account numbers, passwords, tax returns, etc.), and remember that advice from the skill is not a substitute for qualified professional legal, tax, or medical counsel. If you plan to let the agent act autonomously with this skill enabled, review your platform's data-retention and privacy policies so you know whether user conversations (and possibly sensitive details) may be stored or used for model training.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: advisor Version: 1.0.0 The 'advisor' skill bundle contains only metadata and instructional markdown (SKILL.md) designed to guide the AI agent's persona as a decision-making consultant. There is no executable code, network activity, or suspicious prompt-injection attempts; the content is entirely consistent with its stated purpose of providing objective guidance.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name and description describe a conversational advising assistant and the SKILL.md contains only instructions for how to behave as an advisor. There are no declared binaries, environment variables, or external services that would be unexpected for this purpose.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are limited to listening, asking clarifying questions, weighing pros/cons, and offering recommendations. The SKILL.md does not instruct the agent to read files, access environment variables, call external endpoints, or exfiltrate data.
Install Mechanism
No install spec and no code files are present. This is the lowest-risk pattern (instruction-only); nothing is written to disk or downloaded.
Credentials
The skill requires no environment variables, credentials, or config paths. Requested privileges are proportional to a conversational advisor and there are no surprising secrets requested.
Persistence & Privilege
always is false and autonomous model invocation is the platform default. The skill does not request permanent presence or system-wide configuration changes.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install advisor
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /advisor
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
