README (SKILL.md)

PDF-API.io

Operate PDF-API.io through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the pdf_api_io connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Productivity, Design & Media. Exposes 3 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected PDF-API.io. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "pdf_api_io" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "pdf_api_io" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • get_template — Get one PDF-API.io template by template ID, including team and variable details.
  • list_templates — List the PDF-API.io templates accessible to the provided API token.
  • render_pdf — Render one PDF-API.io template with JSON data and return the temporary hosted PDF URL.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change PDF-API.io state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — PDF-API.io is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=pdf_api_io

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install this if you want Codex to operate PDF-API.io through OOMOL. Review render_pdf requests carefully because they can generate hosted PDFs and may consume service credits; make sure the JSON payload and template ID are what you intended before allowing a render.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The skill is purpose-aligned with PDF-API.io: it lists templates, retrieves a template, and renders a PDF through the OOMOL oo connector. The frontmatter description overemphasizes searching/reading, but the body and action files plainly disclose render_pdf.
Instruction Scope
Runtime authority is scoped to Bash(oo *) and instructs agents to fetch live schemas before running connector actions. The blanket 'ANY PDF-API.io request' language is broad, so rendering requests should still be treated as non-read operations requiring clear user intent.
Install Mechanism
The skill assumes the oo CLI and account connection are already installed, with first-time setup steps only after auth or connection failure. The fallback install command uses an external installer, but it is disclosed and not automatic.
Credentials
Access to an OOMOL-connected PDF-API.io account and server-side credentials is proportionate for this integration, and raw tokens are not exposed to the agent.
Persistence & Privilege
No background worker, local persistence, broad file indexing, privilege escalation, or destructive action is defined in the artifacts.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-pdf-api-io
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-pdf-api-io
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Operates PDF-API.io through an OOMOL-connected account using the `pdf_api_io` connector and `oo` CLI. - Lists accessible PDF-API.io templates for the connected API token. - Retrieves a specific template by ID, including team and variable details. - Renders a PDF from a template with JSON input data and returns a temporary hosted PDF URL. - Uses live connector schemas before each action so payloads stay aligned with upstream API contracts.
