Ipregistry

Operate Ipregistry through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the ipregistry connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Maps & Location, Security & Identity, Data & Analytics. Exposes 5 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Ipregistry. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "ipregistry" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "ipregistry" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • batch_lookup_asns — Look up data for multiple Autonomous System Numbers with Ipregistry.
  • batch_lookup_ips — Look up Ipregistry data for multiple IPv4 or IPv6 addresses in one request.
  • lookup_asn — Look up data for one Autonomous System Number with Ipregistry.
  • lookup_ip — Look up geolocation, connection, company, currency, time zone, and security data for one IP address.
  • parse_user_agents — Parse one or more user-agent strings with Ipregistry.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Ipregistry state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Ipregistry is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=ipregistry

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install only if you trust OOMOL and are comfortable routing Ipregistry lookup data through its connected-account CLI. Review the oo CLI installer before running the first-time setup command, and avoid sending sensitive IP or user-agent data unless that is intended.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The documented purpose is Ipregistry IP, ASN, and user-agent lookups; the action files match that purpose and describe schema inspection plus connector execution for five lookup/parse actions.
Instruction Scope
The activation wording is broad for any Ipregistry request, but the runtime instructions are still tied to the listed connector actions and require fetching the live action schema before use.
Install Mechanism
First-time setup includes remote oo CLI install commands via curl-to-bash and PowerShell iex when the CLI is missing. This is disclosed and conditional, but users should review the installer source and trust OOMOL before running it.
Credentials
The allowed tool scope is limited to oo commands, and the data flow to OOMOL/Ipregistry is proportionate for IP, ASN, and user-agent lookups.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill may rely on a locally installed CLI and OOMOL sign-in/connection state, but it does not define background workers, persistence beyond normal CLI setup, local credential scraping, or destructive actions.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-ipregistry
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-ipregistry
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Initial release of the `oo-ipregistry` skill for accessing Ipregistry through an OOMOL-connected account via the `oo` CLI. - Supports single and batch IP lookups for IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, including geolocation, connection, company, currency, time zone, and security data. - Adds single and batch ASN lookup actions for retrieving Autonomous System Number intelligence from Ipregistry. - Includes user-agent parsing for one or more user-agent strings. - Provides action reference files with schema-inspection and execution commands, using server-side credential injection so raw Ipregistry tokens are never handled locally.
