Description
Professional Quantitative Intelligence & DeFi Execution for AI Agents. 10 years of news-price correlation, Enso DeFi super-aggregator (200+ DEXs, 15+ chains)...
Usage Guidance
This skill can perform real DeFi trades, cross-chain bridges, create agent wallets, and use paid proxies (email/SMS/scrape). Before installing: (1) Clarify the NEWSRIVER_API_KEY mismatch between the registry and SKILL.md. (2) Do not provide private keys; prefer limited, revocable API keys. (3) Test in dry_run/sandbox and with tiny amounts only. SKILL.md examples include a dry_run flag — use it. (4) Restrict or require explicit human approval for any autonomous execution that can move funds or incur payments (X-PAYMENT header / micropayments). (5) Verify the service provider (yieldcircle / agent.yieldcircle.app) and support contact; examine pricing and audit/logging policies. (6) If you are risk-averse, keep this skill disabled for autonomous invocation and only call it manually after reviewing requests the agent will make.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: newsriver-intelligence Version: 1.0.13 The skill bundle provides a legitimate interface for the YieldCircle platform, offering DeFi execution, cross-chain bridging, and financial intelligence. All functionality, including wallet management via Privy TEE and proxy services (Email/SMS/Scraping), is documented and aligned with the stated purpose of providing institutional-grade tools for AI agents. No indicators of malicious intent, data exfiltration, or unauthorized command execution were identified in SKILL.md or the metadata.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The SKILL.md describes a DeFi super-aggregator, cross-chain bridging, historical news/price correlation, proxies (email/SMS/scrape) and TEE-backed agent wallets — all coherent with the stated purpose. However, registry metadata lists no required environment variables while the SKILL.md documents an optional NEWSRIVER_API_KEY; this mismatch (registry says none, documentation lists one) is an inconsistency the maintainer should clarify.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are instruction-only curl/API examples that tell an agent how to query analytics and how to execute swaps/bridges/yield/bundles, create wallets, and use paid proxies. The instructions do not tell the agent to read local files or unrelated env vars, but they do enable network calls that can initiate real financial transactions and send data via email/SMS/scrape proxies — so the agent will be able to transmit data externally and move funds if execution is allowed.
Install Mechanism
No install spec or code files are present (instruction-only). This is lower-risk from a disk/execution perspective because nothing is downloaded or written by the skill package itself.
Credentials
The registry lists no required environment variables, but SKILL.md documents an optional NEWSRIVER_API_KEY (used for premium/ subscription access). That alone is proportionate. However, the skill supports payments via an X-PAYMENT header (USDC on Base) and Privy-signed agent wallets — meaning monetary value can be moved through the API. The skill does not request private keys in the package, but it can cause charges and on-chain transfers; ensure any API key or payment mechanism you supply is scoped and reversible where possible.
Persistence & Privilege
always is false (good) and there is no install writing files, but the skill is allowed to be invoked autonomously (default). Because the skill exposes transaction/bridge/transfer endpoints and agent wallets, autonomous invocation could cause unintended asset movement or charges. Combine this with the metadata/instruction mismatches and you should tightly control or disable autonomous calls that perform financial operations.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install newsriver-intelligence
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /newsriver-intelligence
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output

v1.0.12
- Major update: Enhanced intelligence features, stricter governance, and new premium data. - Introduces 10 years of news-price correlation ("Alpha Correlation Engine") for quantitative research. - Adds "On This Day" historical memory function with price/headline matching. - Explicitly requires human-in-the-loop confirmation for high-risk proxy actions (email/SMS). - Provides an immutable audit trail and supports x402 micropayment protocol for autonomous agents. - New AskRiver AI chat for agentic, large-scale news analysis (premium endpoint). - Documentation and endpoint examples updated for enhanced clarity.
v1.0.11
- No code changes detected in this release. - Version metadata updated to 1.0.10. - All functionality, endpoints, and documentation remain unchanged. - No action required for users; this is a version bump only. -Support email change
v1.0.10
- No code changes detected in this release. - Version metadata updated to 1.0.10. - All functionality, endpoints, and documentation remain unchanged. - No action required for users; this is a version bump only. -Support email change
v1.0.9
- Streamlined documentation with a clear distinction between server-enforced protections and recommended best practices for agents. - Updated and simplified description, tags, and capabilities overview to highlight authentication modes and core endpoints. - Made approval protocol and spending responsibility advisory (no longer described as technically enforced). - Updated endpoint list, pricing, and guidance for both API key and x402 micropayment usage. - Added clear dry-run/testing instructions and improved error handling/user messaging guidance.
v1.0.8
newsriver-intelligence v1.0.8 - Updated SKILL.md with expanded and revised API documentation. - Added additional intelligence endpoints, including `/api/v1/intelligence/generate`, `/api/v1/intelligence/history`, and expanded pricing details. - Clarified endpoint limits and permissions (e.g., admin/high-tier for certain features). - Improved descriptions for proxy storage endpoints. - Refined details on rate limiting, security protocols, and usage instructions.
v1.0.7
**Major security and capability upgrade.** - Expanded global coverage and premium intelligence features; now supports financial data across 137 countries. - Hardened security: API keys are SHA-256 hashed, keys never logged in plaintext, and no TOFU fallback. - Introduced multi-layer spam/abuse protection, including IP/global rate limits, dual wallet/IP caps, and mandatory micropayments. - All high-risk proxy communications now have stricter human-in-the-loop governance and improved anti-impersonation safeguards. - Added ephemeral, namespaced storage endpoint and clearly documented full pricing/model for endpoints. - Free, dry-run testing returns mock data, not live content, for safer integration.
v1.0.6
**Major update: NewsRiver intelligence skill migrates to YieldCircle infrastructure with enhanced security, governance, and domain integrity.** - Domain and author updated to YieldCircle; new endpoints at `api.yieldcircle.app`. - Expanded security, including stateless privacy guarantees and improved SSRF/phishing protection. - Added support for spending guardrails via PaySponge or similar protocols. - Revised human-in-the-loop governance: stricter enforcement of user approval, immutably logged proxy actions, and clarified rate limits. - Documentation updated for new usage/testing endpoints, error handling, and support contacts.
v1.0.5
