Description
Remembers, recalls, and organizes durable facts in a categorized markdown store at ~/Clawic/data/memory/, parallel to built-in agent memory. Use when the user says remember this, save this, note that for later, or don't forget; when they ask what did I tell you about X, when did we decide Y, or who is Z; when a stored fact is wrong, outdated, or contradicts what they just said; when they want something forgotten or deleted; when recall misses, returns stale facts, or slows down as the store grows; when duplicate or conflicting entries appear; when consolidating scattered notes, importing an existing vault, or sharing memory across devices and agents. Not for session-scoped context the runtime already holds, note-taking apps (notes), journaling practice (journal), or study techniques like spaced repetition (learn, active-recall).
Usage Guidance
Install only if you want an agent to keep durable local memory in plaintext files under ~/Clawic/data/memory/. Do not store secrets there, review excluded topics and deletion policy, and use private encrypted or version-controlled storage carefully because cloud sync and git history can retain deleted facts.
Capability Assessment
✓ Credentials
Filesystem reads, writes, grep, mv, and optional git or cloud-folder workflows are scoped to the memory store and are proportionate for a local durable-memory tool.
✓ Install Mechanism
The package is markdown/json guidance with no executable files, no required binaries, and no dependency or remote payload mechanism found in the inspected artifacts.
ℹ Instruction Scope
The skill uses broad memory triggers and proactive recall cues, but they are disclosed, tied to durable-memory behavior, and constrained by rules against secrets, sensitive third-party data, and unnecessary reads.
ℹ Persistence & Privilege
The skill intentionally creates persistent plaintext files and can move or delete memory entries during maintenance, migration, and privacy workflows; default deletion policy is confirm and the artifacts disclose plaintext storage and deletion limits.
✓ Purpose & Capability
The capability matches the stated purpose: remember, recall, organize, update, and delete durable facts in a local markdown store at ~/Clawic/data/memory/.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install memory
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /memory
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
