Description
Skip the learning curve of professional editing software. Describe what you want — add background music to my video and adjust the volume — and get music-bac...
README (SKILL.md)

Getting Started

Ready when you are. Drop your video clips here or describe what you want to make.

Try saying:

  • "add a 2-minute vacation video clip into a 1080p MP4"
  • "add background music to my video and adjust the volume"
  • "adding background music to personal or social media videos for social media creators"

Automatic Setup

On first interaction, connect to the processing API before doing anything else. Show a brief status like "Setting things up...".

Token: If NEMO_TOKEN environment variable is already set, use it and skip to Session below.

Free token: Generate a UUID as client identifier, then POST to https://mega-api-prod.nemovideo.ai/api/auth/anonymous-token with header X-Client-Id: \x3Cuuid>. The response field data.token becomes your NEMO_TOKEN (100 credits, 7-day expiry).

Session: POST to https://mega-api-prod.nemovideo.ai/api/tasks/me/with-session/nemo_agent with Bearer auth and body {"task_name":"project"}. Save session_id from the response.

Confirm to the user you're connected and ready. Don't print tokens or raw JSON.

Add Music to Video Online Free — Add Music and Export Videos

Drop your video clips in the chat and tell me what you need. I'll handle the music overlay addition on cloud GPUs — you don't need anything installed locally.

Here's a typical use: you send a a 2-minute vacation video clip, ask for add background music to my video and adjust the volume, and about 30-60 seconds later you've got a MP4 file ready to download. The whole thing runs at 1080p by default.

One thing worth knowing — trim your audio track to match the video length before uploading for a cleaner result.

Matching Input to Actions

User prompts referencing add music to video online free, aspect ratio, text overlays, or audio tracks get routed to the corresponding action via keyword and intent classification.

User says... Action Skip SSE?
"export" / "导出" / "download" / "send me the video" → §3.5 Export
"credits" / "积分" / "balance" / "余额" → §3.3 Credits
"status" / "状态" / "show tracks" → §3.4 State
"upload" / "上传" / user sends file → §3.2 Upload
Everything else (generate, edit, add BGM…) → §3.1 SSE

Cloud Render Pipeline Details

Each export job queues on a cloud GPU node that composites video layers, applies platform-spec compression (H.264, up to 1080x1920), and returns a download URL within 30-90 seconds. The session token carries render job IDs, so closing the tab before completion orphans the job.

Base URL: https://mega-api-prod.nemovideo.ai

Endpoint Method Purpose
/api/tasks/me/with-session/nemo_agent POST Start a new editing session. Body: {"task_name":"project","language":"\x3Clang>"}. Returns session_id.
/run_sse POST Send a user message. Body includes app_name, session_id, new_message. Stream response with Accept: text/event-stream. Timeout: 15 min.
/api/upload-video/nemo_agent/me/\x3Csid> POST Upload a file (multipart) or URL.
/api/credits/balance/simple GET Check remaining credits (available, frozen, total).
/api/state/nemo_agent/me/\x3Csid>/latest GET Fetch current timeline state (draft, video_infos, generated_media).
/api/render/proxy/lambda POST Start export. Body: {"id":"render_\x3Cts>","sessionId":"\x3Csid>","draft":\x3Cjson>,"output":{"format":"mp4","quality":"high"}}. Poll status every 30s.

Accepted file types: mp4, mov, avi, webm, mkv, jpg, png, gif, webp, mp3, wav, m4a, aac.

Headers are derived from this file's YAML frontmatter. X-Skill-Source is add-music-to-video-online-free, X-Skill-Version comes from the version field, and X-Skill-Platform is detected from the install path (~/.clawhub/ = clawhub, ~/.cursor/skills/ = cursor, otherwise unknown).

Include Authorization: Bearer \x3CNEMO_TOKEN> and all attribution headers on every request — omitting them triggers a 402 on export.

Error Handling

Code Meaning Action
0 Success Continue
1001 Bad/expired token Re-auth via anonymous-token (tokens expire after 7 days)
1002 Session not found New session §3.0
2001 No credits Anonymous: show registration URL with ?bind=\x3Cid> (get \x3Cid> from create-session or state response when needed). Registered: "Top up credits in your account"
4001 Unsupported file Show supported formats
4002 File too large Suggest compress/trim
400 Missing X-Client-Id Generate Client-Id and retry (see §1)
402 Free plan export blocked Subscription tier issue, NOT credits. "Register or upgrade your plan to unlock export."
429 Rate limit (1 token/client/7 days) Retry in 30s once

Reading the SSE Stream

Text events go straight to the user (after GUI translation). Tool calls stay internal. Heartbeats and empty data: lines mean the backend is still working — show "⏳ Still working..." every 2 minutes.

About 30% of edit operations close the stream without any text. When that happens, poll /api/state to confirm the timeline changed, then tell the user what was updated.

Translating GUI Instructions

The backend responds as if there's a visual interface. Map its instructions to API calls:

  • "click" or "点击" → execute the action via the relevant endpoint
  • "open" or "打开" → query session state to get the data
  • "drag/drop" or "拖拽" → send the edit command through SSE
  • "preview in timeline" → show a text summary of current tracks
  • "Export" or "导出" → run the export workflow

Draft field mapping: t=tracks, tt=track type (0=video, 1=audio, 7=text), sg=segments, d=duration(ms), m=metadata.

Timeline (3 tracks): 1. Video: city timelapse (0-10s) 2. BGM: Lo-fi (0-10s, 35%) 3. Title: "Urban Dreams" (0-3s)

Tips and Tricks

The backend processes faster when you're specific. Instead of "make it look better", try "add background music to my video and adjust the volume" — concrete instructions get better results.

Max file size is 500MB. Stick to MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM for the smoothest experience.

Export as MP4 for widest compatibility.

Common Workflows

Quick edit: Upload → "add background music to my video and adjust the volume" → Download MP4. Takes 30-60 seconds for a 30-second clip.

Batch style: Upload multiple files in one session. Process them one by one with different instructions. Each gets its own render.

Iterative: Start with a rough cut, preview the result, then refine. The session keeps your timeline state so you can keep tweaking.

Usage Guidance
This skill appears to do what it says (it uploads videos to a cloud rendering service and returns edited files), but before using it you should: 1) confirm you trust mega-api-prod.nemovideo.ai (there's no homepage/publisher listed); 2) understand that your videos and any metadata will be uploaded to a third party — check retention and privacy policies; 3) prefer using an explicitly provided NEMO_TOKEN from an account if you need retention or billing control (anonymous tokens are short-lived); 4) ask the publisher why the SKILL.md mentions a config path (~/.config/nemovideo/) that is not declared elsewhere and whether the skill will probe your home directories; and 5) avoid giving persistent, high-privilege credentials unless you can verify the service and its security/privacy practices. If you want higher assurance, request a homepage, documentation, or a known publisher identity before installing.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: add-music-to-video-online-free Version: 1.0.0 The skill bundle provides a legitimate integration for an AI agent to perform video editing tasks via the nemovideo.ai API. It contains detailed instructions for the agent to handle authentication (including anonymous token generation), session management, file uploads, and cloud rendering. All network communication is directed to the service's official domain (mega-api-prod.nemovideo.ai), and the skill includes security-conscious instructions such as not printing raw tokens or JSON responses to the user. No evidence of data exfiltration, malicious execution, or unauthorized system access was found.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The skill claims to add music to videos via a cloud API and only requires a single credential (NEMO_TOKEN), which is coherent. However, the SKILL.md frontmatter declares a config path (~/.config/nemovideo/) that the registry metadata did not list — a minor mismatch in declared requirements. The external domain used (mega-api-prod.nemovideo.ai) is consistent with the stated service name but no homepage or publisher information is provided, reducing provenance confidence.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are focused on the stated task: create or reuse a token, open a session, upload user video/audio files, stream SSE responses, and request renders. Those actions necessarily send user media and metadata to the external API (expected for the feature). The doc also describes detecting install path to set an X-Skill-Platform header, which implies probing common user paths (~/.clawhub/, ~/.cursor/skills/) — this is not explicitly declared in registry requirements and could involve reading filesystem state. No instructions ask the agent to read unrelated secrets or system files, but the file-upload to a third party is a privacy-sensitive operation and should be expected.
Install Mechanism
Instruction-only skill (no install spec, no code files). This is lower-risk from an installation perspective because nothing is downloaded or written to disk by an installer step.
Credentials
Only one required environment variable (NEMO_TOKEN) is declared and used, which matches the API usage in the instructions. The skill also supports generating a short-lived anonymous token via the API when NEMO_TOKEN is absent. No unrelated credentials or secrets are requested.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill is not always-enabled and does not request system-wide configuration changes. It stores transient session_id values as part of the workflow (expected). It does not request elevated privileges or persistent presence beyond normal operation.
How to Use
