Description
Real-time trade signals with executable Buy/Sell/Hold recommendations for stocks. Use when asked about trading decisions, stock analysis, technicals, buy/sell calls, earnings plays, price targets, analyst ratings, entry/exit points, portfolio rebalancing, or any investment decision requiring actionable intelligence. Supports US + Global markets, Asia emerging markets, individual stocks, ETFs, and options strategies.
Usage Guidance
This skill simply forwards whatever you type to https://terminal-x.ai/api/lite-search via a curl GET — your entire query (including any sensitive text) will be sent to that external service. Before installing, verify the provider (terminal-x.ai) and their privacy/terms: do they require a paid subscription or API key? Ask the publisher how they obtain the claimed 'institution-grade' sources. Avoid sending account numbers, personal data, or proprietary documents through the skill. If you proceed, test with non-sensitive queries, monitor outbound network activity, and prefer a skill that declares required credentials or is published by a verified/trusted owner. If the vendor can show a documented API key requirement or a publisher identity matching their claims, that would reduce my concern.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: trade-signal Version: 1.0.0 The skill bundle is benign. The `SKILL.md` clearly defines the purpose of providing trade signals and financial analysis, pointing to `https://terminal-x.ai` as the service provider. The `scripts/search.sh` script safely URL-encodes the user's query using `python3` and then makes a `curl` request to the declared API endpoint `https://terminal-x.ai/api/lite-search`. There is no evidence of data exfiltration, malicious execution, persistence mechanisms, or prompt injection attempts against the agent. All actions are aligned with the stated purpose.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The skill's name/description (trade signals, institution-grade data, real-time coverage) matches the implementation pattern: a script that queries https://terminal-x.ai/api. However, the SKILL.md claims access to proprietary Wall Street research and real-time feeds while the skill requests no credentials or subscription information — that is unexpected and worth questioning (either the endpoint is public, or the documentation overstates capabilities).
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are limited and specific: the included script URL-encodes the user's query and issues a GET to /api/lite-search. It does not access local files, additional environment variables, or other system resources. The behavioral scope is narrow, but it does forward full user queries to an external host (terminal-x.ai) which may expose sensitive contents of queries.
Install Mechanism
No install spec — instruction-only with a small helper script. No downloads or archive extraction. Low installation risk.
Credentials
The skill requires no environment variables or credentials. Given SKILL.md's repeated claims of premium/institutional data, it's unusual that no API key/subscription credential is requested. Either the endpoint is unauthenticated (raising privacy/exfiltration concerns) or the documentation is overstating the data sources. Also, the script sends full queries in a URL (GET) which can be logged in server logs or proxies.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill does not request persistent presence, does not modify other skills or system settings, and uses no special privileges (always:false).
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install trade-signal
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /trade-signal
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
