README (SKILL.md)

Twilio

Operate Twilio through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the twilio connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Communication. Exposes 5 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Twilio. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "twilio" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "twilio" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • get_account — Fetch the current Twilio account profile for the connected credential.
  • get_message — Fetch one Twilio message by message SID.
  • list_messages — List SMS or MMS messages for the connected Twilio account.
  • list_usage_records — List Twilio usage records for the connected account.
  • send_message — Send an outbound SMS or MMS message with Twilio.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Twilio state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Twilio is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: custom credential) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=twilio

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install only if you are comfortable using OOMOL as an intermediary for your Twilio account. Review payloads before sending messages, because that can incur costs and contact real recipients. If the `oo` CLI is not installed, verify the OOMOL installer source before running the suggested remote install command.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The actions match the stated Twilio purpose: account lookup, message lookup/listing, usage listing, and outbound SMS/MMS sending through the OOMOL `oo` connector.
Instruction Scope
The trigger language says to use the skill for any Twilio request, which is broader than the five documented connector actions, but the runtime instructions are centered on schema inspection and those listed actions.
Install Mechanism
First-time setup suggests installing the OOMOL CLI with a remote install script if `oo` is missing; this is disclosed and conditional, but users should trust and verify that installer source before running it.
Credentials
Use of Twilio account data and outbound messaging authority is proportionate to the skill's communication-management purpose, and credentials are described as server-side rather than handled directly by the agent.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill may require one-time CLI installation, login, and Twilio connection setup, but it does not describe background workers, hidden persistence, local credential scraping, deletion, or privilege escalation.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-twilio
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-twilio
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
