Description
Fathom API integration with managed OAuth. Access meeting recordings, transcripts, summaries, and manage webhooks. Use this skill when users want to retrieve meeting content, search recordings, or set up webhook notifications for new meetings. For other third party apps, use the api-gateway skill (https://clawhub.ai/byungkyu/api-gateway). Calls run through the `maton` CLI with OAuth login, or over raw HTTP with a Maton API key where the CLI cannot be installed. Every call is authenticated as the user's connection and reaches only what that connection's authorization allows, which the provider enforces on every request; the endpoints documented here are the ones this skill uses, and any other endpoint of this app needs the user to ask for it by name. Default to read and list calls, and confirm every write or new connection with the user. This file also documents the three constructs that turn a Fathom connection into automation, in the order they are used: the connection (the first step), a hosted function that runs a Fathom action through the Maton SDK, and a trigger that calls that function on a schedule or on an event. Those sections are the platform's own reference text, shared with the api-gateway skill, with Fathom examples; they add no Fathom capability - Fathom is not an event source, a trigger cannot read Fathom data, and the files under `references/<source>/triggers.md` are the platform's event catalogues for the sources Maton offers (time, Calendly, GitHub, Gmail, HubSpot, Linear, Notion, Slack, Stripe).
Usage Guidance
Before installing, understand that this skill can access sensitive Fathom meeting content and can create persistent webhooks or automations if you approve them. Use read-only actions where possible, confirm every destination URL and webhook scope carefully, and revoke/delete connections, functions, triggers, or webhooks when no longer needed.
Capability Assessment
ℹ Credentials
The skill handles sensitive meeting transcripts and can configure persistent forwarding, but it clearly labels these risks, prefers platform-contained destinations, and warns against third-party or untrusted destinations without approval.
ℹ Install Mechanism
It installs or uses the Maton CLI via pinned npm or Homebrew instructions and also documents SDK/raw HTTP fallbacks; these are disclosed and tied to the integration workflow.
✓ Instruction Scope
The skill repeatedly requires explicit user approval for connection creation, writes, webhooks, hosted functions, trigger destinations, destination_url callbacks, and local --exec usage.
ℹ Persistence & Privilege
OAuth tokens, webhooks, functions, and triggers can persist beyond a single task, but the artifact discloses this, instructs least privilege, and tells agents to delete or revoke unneeded resources.
✓ Purpose & Capability
The stated purpose is to retrieve Fathom meetings, transcripts, summaries, action items, and manage webhooks; the documented commands and API endpoints align with that purpose.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install fathom-api
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /fathom-api
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.2.8
Simplify the login instructions to the code flow (maton login prints a link; finish with maton login --code <CODE>), drop the API Key subsection, and pin the Maton CLI install to 0.4.0.
v1.2.7
Switch the login instructions to the device flow (maton login prints a link and a user code; the --oauth flag is gone) and pin the Maton CLI install to 0.3.5.
v1.2.6
Pin the Maton CLI install to 0.3.4, the current release.
v1.2.5
Add this skill's own trigger policy to the shared Triggers section: the only destination it sets up is its own hosted function inside the platform, it does not forward events to third-party hosts, and it does not use event watch --exec; each trigger reference now also says this skill configures no trigger from that source on its own.
v1.2.4
Bring the skill to the current api-gateway baseline and tell the connection-to-function-to-trigger story: the shared Functions and Triggers sections open with an example for this app (a hosted function that performs one action for it through the Maton SDK, and the trigger that runs it - its own event source where it has one, otherwise a time schedule), the description says these constructs turn the connection into automation and add no capability of their own, the passthrough is described by its enforced boundary, CLI and SDK installs are pinned to 0.3.1, absolute API URLs are placeholders, and multipart uploads use mktemp.
v1.2.3
Treat any call carrying destination_url as an egress action needing explicit confirmation, whatever the HTTP method: the summary and transcript endpoints accept it on a GET and Fathom then posts verbatim meeting content to that host. Also document webhook delivery as a standing pipeline with triggered_for scoping guidance, matching the api-gateway routing reference
v1.2.2
Resolve remaining audit findings: state one consistent endpoint policy instead of conflicting scope claims, qualify the local-execution and high-impact wording, note that locale examples are illustrative, and correct app-specific auth, method and upload-path documentation
v1.2.1
Address security-audit findings: disclose the api passthrough in the access-scope and description text, warn on irreversible connection deletion, add response data-minimization guidance, and correct app-specific auth and request-body notes
v1.2.0
CLI-first rewrite with the Maton SDK examples; clarify that the CLI and SDKs keep separate credential stores, and reword webhook egress warnings
v1.1.0
CLI-first rewrite: the maton CLI with OAuth login is the documented path, every example is a maton command, SDK examples added, and the raw HTTP fallback feeds the key on stdin instead of reading it from the environment
v1.0.6
- Changed all endpoint base URLs from https://gateway.maton.ai/ and https://ctrl.maton.ai/ to https://api.maton.ai/ - Updated Quick Start and all code samples to use the new https://api.maton.ai/ base URL. - Adjusted connection management instructions and endpoints to match the updated API domain. - Added a Security & Permissions section clarifying OAuth scopes and approval for write operations. - Removed extraneous file: LICENSE.txt.
v1.0.5
- No file changes detected between this and the previous version. - No user-facing changes, new features, or fixes are present in this release.
v1.0.4
- Added homepage metadata link for the skill (https://maton.ai). - No other user-facing or functional changes.
v1.0.3
- Added new metadata section for clawdbot, specifying emoji and required environment variables in SKILL.md. - No changes to code or functionality; documentation only.
v1.0.2
No file changes detected for version 1.0.2. - No updates or modifications were made in this version. - All features and documentation remain the same as in the previous release.
v1.0.1
- Updated command-line examples from curl/bash to Python scripts for easier automation and cross-platform compatibility. - Added mention in the description about using the api-gateway skill for other third party apps. - No changes to API endpoints or core functionality.
v1.0.0
Fathom v1.0.0 Changelog - Major update: Migrated to Maton API gateway with managed OAuth and simplified API usage. - Replaced previous bash scripts and manual integration instructions with direct API reference via Maton endpoints. - Updated documentation to guide setup and usage with the new OAuth-based authentication and management. - Removed all local helper scripts; interaction is now via HTTP requests to Maton-managed endpoints. - Added clear examples for listing meetings, retrieving summaries/transcripts, managing teams, and setting up webhooks.
