README (SKILL.md)

Coda

Operate Coda through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the coda connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Productivity, Data & Analytics. Exposes 11 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Coda. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "coda" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "coda" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • create_page — Create a new page in a Coda doc, with optional subtitle, icon, image, parent page, and structured page content.
  • get_current_user — Get the current Coda user associated with the authenticated API token.
  • get_doc — Get metadata for a specific Coda doc by doc ID.
  • get_mutation_status — Get the completion status for an asynchronous Coda mutation using a previously returned request ID.
  • get_table — Get details about a specific Coda table or view.
  • list_columns — List columns in a Coda table with pagination and optional visibility filtering.
  • list_docs — List Coda docs accessible to the authenticated user with optional ownership, publication, workspace, and pagination filters.
  • list_pages — List pages in a Coda doc with pagination.
  • list_rows — List rows in a Coda table with filtering, sorting, pagination, optional sync tokens, and configurable cell value formats.
  • list_tables — List tables in a Coda doc with pagination, optional sort order, and optional table-type filtering.
  • upsert_rows — Insert rows into a Coda table, optionally updating existing rows when key columns are provided.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Coda state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Coda is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=coda

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install this only if you are comfortable connecting OOMOL to your Coda account. Read actions can expose accessible Coda content to the agent, and write actions can change Coda pages or rows, so confirm the exact target document, table, and payload before allowing create or upsert operations.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The skill can list and read Coda docs, pages, tables, columns, and rows, and can create pages or upsert rows; those capabilities match the stated Coda productivity/data-management purpose.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are scoped to oo connector schema/run commands for the coda connector and explicitly require confirmation before state-changing actions.
Install Mechanism
First-time setup includes installing the oo CLI and logging into OOMOL only after relevant command/auth failures, not as proactive or hidden installation.
Credentials
Use of Bash(oo *) and OOMOL server-side credentials is proportionate for an external Coda connector, with no evidence of unrelated local file access or arbitrary command use.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill depends on a persistent OOMOL/Coda account connection and sensitive credentials, but the artifacts disclose this and do not create background workers, hidden persistence, deletion flows, or privilege escalation.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-coda
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-coda
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Initial release of `oo-coda`, an OOMOL skill for operating Coda through the `coda` connector and `oo` CLI without handling raw API tokens. - Supports Coda account and document discovery, including current user lookup, accessible doc listing, and doc metadata retrieval. - Adds page and table navigation capabilities for listing pages, tables, columns, and detailed table or view metadata. - Enables table row reads with filtering, sorting, pagination, sync tokens, and configurable cell value formats. - Provides write support for creating pages and upserting table rows, with explicit confirmation guidance for state-changing actions. - Includes mutation status lookup for tracking asynchronous Coda write operations.
