README (SKILL.md)

Browserless

Operate Browserless through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the browserless connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Developer Tools, Data & Analytics. Exposes 3 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Browserless. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "browserless" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "browserless" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • fetch_content — Fetch fully rendered HTML content from Browserless.
  • generate_pdf — Generate a Browserless PDF file and return it as base64 content.
  • take_screenshot — Generate a Browserless screenshot and return it as base64 content.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Browserless state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Browserless is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=browserless

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Before installing, confirm you trust the OOMOL oo CLI installer and that you intend to connect Browserless through OOMOL. Use the skill for the three documented Browserless actions, and avoid running the installer or auth setup unless the CLI or connection is actually missing.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The skill’s stated purpose is to operate Browserless through OOMOL’s oo CLI, and the documented actions are limited to fetching rendered HTML, generating PDFs, and taking screenshots.
Instruction Scope
The trigger wording is broad for Browserless-related requests, but it remains bounded to the named Browserless connector and the listed actions.
Install Mechanism
The first-time setup suggests installing the oo CLI with a remote curl-to-shell command if the CLI is missing; this is disclosed, conditional, and purpose-aligned, but users should treat it as a privileged installer step.
Credentials
The allowed tool scope is limited to oo CLI commands for the normal workflow, and the skill instructs schema inspection before running connector actions.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill may rely on a locally installed oo CLI and OOMOL account sign-in, but it states Browserless credentials are injected server-side and does not instruct storing raw Browserless tokens locally.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-browserless
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-browserless
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Introduces the `oo-browserless` skill for operating Browserless through an OOMOL-connected account without handling raw Browserless tokens locally. - Adds `fetch_content` to retrieve fully rendered HTML from Browserless, useful for dynamic pages that require browser execution. - Adds `take_screenshot` to generate Browserless screenshots and return the result as base64 content. - Adds `generate_pdf` to render pages as Browserless-generated PDF files returned as base64 content. - Documents a schema-first workflow using `oo connector schema` before each action run, so payloads stay aligned with the live Browserless connector contract. - Includes setup and safety guidance for oo CLI authentication, Browserless connection errors, billing issues, and state-changing action precautions.
