README (SKILL.md)

BoxHero

Operate BoxHero through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the boxhero connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Productivity, Data & Analytics. Exposes 4 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected BoxHero. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "boxhero" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "boxhero" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • get_item — Get a single BoxHero inventory item by item identifier.
  • get_team_info — Get the linked BoxHero team information and team mode.
  • list_items — List BoxHero inventory items with optional location filters and cursor pagination.
  • list_locations — List BoxHero locations available to the linked team.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change BoxHero state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — BoxHero is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=boxhero

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install this if you want an agent to read BoxHero inventory, item, team, and location data through your OOMOL-connected account. Treat it as read-only despite the broad wording, and do not approve any future create, update, or delete BoxHero operation unless the action is clearly documented and you confirm the exact effect.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The artifacts consistently describe BoxHero access through the OOMOL oo connector, with four listed actions: get_item, get_team_info, list_items, and list_locations.
Instruction Scope
The description says to use the skill for any BoxHero request, and the safety section mentions create/update/delete actions, but the declared action files are read-only and destructive actions are not documented as available.
Install Mechanism
First-time setup includes standard oo CLI installation and login/connect steps, including curl or PowerShell install commands, but they are disclosed and only to be used after auth or command-not-found failures.
Credentials
Access to BoxHero business inventory data and an API-key-backed OOMOL connection is proportionate to the stated purpose, and there is no broad local file indexing or unrelated data access.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill relies on an existing or newly connected OOMOL/BoxHero credential, but it does not instruct hidden persistence, background workers, local credential scraping, or privilege escalation.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-boxhero
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-boxhero
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Adds a BoxHero skill for working with inventory data through an OOMOL-connected BoxHero account. - Provides read-only actions to list inventory items, fetch a single item, list team locations, and retrieve linked team information. - Supports optional location filtering and cursor pagination when listing inventory items. - Uses the `oo` CLI and the `boxhero` connector so credentials are injected server-side instead of handled directly. - Documents schema-first execution guidance for each action to keep payloads aligned with the live connector contract.
