README (SKILL.md)

Ambee

Operate Ambee through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the ambee connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Maps & Location, Data & Analytics. Exposes 5 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Ambee. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "ambee" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "ambee" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change Ambee state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — Ambee is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=ambee

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install only if you trust OOMOL and are comfortable connecting your Ambee API key through OOMOL. The normal skill actions are read-only, but the first-time oo CLI installer runs a remote script, so cautious users should review OOMOL's official install guide or installer before running it.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The skill's stated purpose is to access Ambee environmental and geocoding data through the OOMOL oo CLI, and the listed actions are read-only geocoding, reverse geocoding, current air quality, forecast, and history calls.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are scoped to oo connector schema/run commands for the ambee connector, require live schema inspection, and include confirmation guidance for mutation/destructive actions even though this version only exposes read actions.
Install Mechanism
First-time setup includes curl-to-bash and PowerShell iex installer commands for the oo CLI. This is disclosed and conditional on oo being missing, but it is a remote installer without an artifact-provided checksum.
Credentials
The allowed tool surface is Bash(oo *), which is proportionate to running the OOMOL connector and does not request broad filesystem, shell, or network authority beyond the CLI integration.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill relies on an installed oo CLI, OOMOL sign-in, and an Ambee API-key connection, but it says credentials are injected server-side and tells the agent not to initiate login or connection setup proactively.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-ambee
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-ambee
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Adds the `oo-ambee` skill for accessing Ambee environmental and location data through the OOMOL-connected `ambee` connector. - Supports forward geocoding from place names or addresses to latitude and longitude. - Supports reverse geocoding from latitude and longitude to structured location details. - Retrieves latest air quality station readings for a given coordinate. - Retrieves air quality forecasts and historical air quality readings for a given coordinate. - Uses the `oo` CLI with server-side credential injection, including guidance to inspect live action schemas before running connector calls.
