Description
Command-line tool to search flight prices using Duffel API with options for dates, passengers, stops, and cabin class.
README (SKILL.md)

flight-pricer Skill

A command-line interface (CLI) to search for flight prices using the Duffel API.

This skill has been structured as a professional-grade CLI tool, inspired by the quality standard of the gog skill.

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.7+ and pip.
  • A Duffel API key.

Installation

The skill is designed to be installed as a proper command-line tool within its own virtual environment. This isolates its dependencies and makes it available system-wide for the agent.

From the workspace root:

# 1. Activate the virtual environment
source flight-pricer/.venv/bin/activate

# 2. Perform an editable install
pip install -e flight-pricer/

# 3. Deactivate (optional, the command is now linked)
deactivate

This only needs to be done once.

Setup

Before you can search for flights, you must configure the skill with your Duffel API key.

config set

Securely saves your API key to ~/.config/flight-pricer/config.yaml.

Usage:

flight-pricer config set --api-key \x3CYOUR_DUFFEL_API_KEY>

Commands

search

Searches for flight offers based on the specified criteria. The command will automatically use the API key from your configuration.

Usage:

flight-pricer search [OPTIONS]

Required Options:

  • --from \x3CIATA>: Departure airport IATA code (e.g., DTW).
  • --to \x3CIATA>: Arrival airport IATA code (e.g., MIA).
  • --depart \x3CYYYY-MM-DD>: Departure date.

Optional Options:

  • --return \x3CYYYY-MM-DD>: Return date for a round-trip flight.
  • --passengers \x3Cnumber>: Number of passengers (default: 1).
  • --max-stops \x3Cnumber>: Maximum number of connections.
  • --non-stop: A convenient alias for --max-stops 0.
  • --cabin \x3Cclass>: Cabin class. Choices: economy, business, first, premium_economy.

Example:

Search for a non-stop, first-class flight for one person from Detroit to Miami, departing April 6, 2026 and returning April 10, 2026.

flight-pricer search --from DTW --to MIA --depart 2026-04-06 --return 2026-04-10 --non-stop --cabin first
Usage Guidance
This package appears to do exactly what it claims: a small CLI that posts flight search requests to Duffel. Before installing, verify the source you obtained the code from (SKILL.md references a GitHub repo but registry 'Source' is unknown). Install inside a dedicated virtual environment as instructed. Be aware the Duffel API key is stored unencrypted at ~/.config/flight-pricer/config.yaml — check/limit file permissions or use a safer secret storage method if you prefer. Finally, inspect the code yourself if possible (it's small and readable) and only provide a Duffel API key you trust for use with this tool.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: flight-pricer Version: 1.0.1 The skill is a command-line interface for searching flight prices using the Duffel API. It securely stores the user's API key in `~/.config/flight-pricer/config.yaml` and uses it to make requests to the legitimate Duffel API endpoint (`https://api.duffel.com`). The Python code (`flight_pricer.py`) uses standard libraries and safe practices (e.g., `yaml.safe_load`, `requests` for API calls). There is no evidence of data exfiltration, malicious execution, persistence mechanisms, obfuscation, or prompt injection attempts in `SKILL.md` or `README.md`.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name/description match the implementation: the package implements a CLI that posts to Duffel's API to search offers. Declared dependencies (click, requests, pyyaml, tabulate) and the console entry point are appropriate for a CLI.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are limited to creating/using a virtualenv, installing the package, and storing a Duffel API key in ~/.config/flight-pricer/config.yaml. The skill reads/writes only that config file and performs API calls to api.duffel.com, which is consistent with the stated purpose; note that the SKILL.md assumes cloning from a GitHub repo even though the registry metadata lists 'Source: unknown'.
Install Mechanism
There is no automated installer in the registry (instruction-only install). The README/SKILL.md recommend pip install -e into a venv (no external downloads or obscure URLs). This is a low-risk, conventional installation approach.
Credentials
The skill requires a Duffel API key to operate but does not request unrelated credentials or environment variables. However, it stores the API key as plaintext YAML at ~/.config/flight-pricer/config.yaml (yaml.dump) — functional but not encrypted; users should consider file permissions or alternative secret storage if this is sensitive.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill does not request always:true, does not modify other skills or system-wide agent settings, and only creates its own config file under the user's home directory. Autonomous invocation is the default platform behavior and is not by itself problematic here.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install flight-pricer
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /flight-pricer
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
