README (SKILL.md)

TinyPNG

Operate TinyPNG through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the tinypng connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Design & Media. Exposes 2 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected TinyPNG. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "tinypng" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "tinypng" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • output_image — Transform a TinyPNG output image and return a transit URL for the resulting file.
  • shrink_image — Create a TinyPNG compressed image resource from a public URL or base64-encoded image bytes.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change TinyPNG state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — TinyPNG is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=tinypng

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Usage Guidance
Install this if you are comfortable using OOMOL as the intermediary for TinyPNG actions and sending image URLs or image bytes through that connector. Before running the optional CLI installer commands, verify the OOMOL installer URL and only connect the TinyPNG account or API key you intend to use.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The artifacts consistently describe TinyPNG image compression and output transformation through the OOMOL oo CLI, and the two action files match that purpose.
Instruction Scope
The trigger wording is broad for TinyPNG-related requests, but the executable scope is limited to oo connector commands and the skill tells the agent to inspect schemas before running actions.
Install Mechanism
The first-time setup section includes curl-to-bash and PowerShell remote installer commands for the oo CLI; this is disclosed, HTTPS-based, and only suggested after a missing-CLI failure, but users should verify the installer source.
Credentials
The declared tool access is limited to Bash commands matching oo, which is proportionate for an OOMOL connector workflow.
Persistence & Privilege
The skill relies on an existing OOMOL login and server-side credential injection, does not request raw TinyPNG tokens, and shows no background persistence, privilege escalation, deletion, or local indexing behavior.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-tinypng
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-tinypng
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Integrates TinyPNG through the OOMOL `tinypng` connector, using server-side credential injection so raw API tokens are never handled directly. - Compresses images by creating TinyPNG compressed image resources from either public image URLs or base64-encoded image bytes. - Transforms TinyPNG output images and returns transit URLs for the resulting files. - Provides action-specific guidance for `shrink_image` and `output_image`, including schema inspection and execution through the `oo` CLI. - Documents first-time setup and failure handling for CLI installation, authentication, TinyPNG connection status, and billing-related errors.
