README (SKILL.md)

DataScope

Operate DataScope through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the datascope connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Category: Productivity, Data & Analytics. Exposes 9 action(s).

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected DataScope. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "datascope" --action "\x3Caction_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "datascope" --action "\x3Caction_name>" --data '\x3Cjson>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action below links to a reference file with its purpose and exact commands. Read the linked file, then fetch the live schema with oo connector schema before constructing --data.

Available actions

  • create_list_element — Create one DataScope metadata list element under a metadata list type.
  • create_location — Create a DataScope location using the official locations endpoint.
  • get_list_element — Get one DataScope metadata list element by metadata type and element ID.
  • list_answers — List DataScope answers from the v2 answers endpoint with stable top-level metadata and dynamic answer values grouped under answers.
  • list_answers_with_full_metadata — List DataScope answers from the metadata-rich answers endpoint and normalize each question item into a stable questions array.
  • list_list_elements — List all elements from one DataScope metadata list type.
  • list_locations — List DataScope locations available to the authenticated account.
  • update_list_element — Update one DataScope metadata list element by element ID.
  • update_location — Update one DataScope location by location ID.

Safety

  • Read actions (get / list / search) are safe to run directly.
  • Create, update, send, or post actions change DataScope state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Delete or remove actions are destructive — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

First-time setup

These are one-time steps — do not repeat them on every call. Run a step only when a command fails for the matching reason.

  • oo: command not found — install the oo CLI (other platforms: \x3Chttps://cli.oomol.com/install-guide.md>):

    curl -fsSL https://cli.oomol.com/install.sh | bash # macOS / Linux

    irm https://cli.oomol.com/install.ps1 | iex # Windows PowerShell

  • Not signed in / authentication error — sign in to your OOMOL account once:

    oo auth login

  • scope_missing / credential_expired / app_not_ready / app_not_found — DataScope is not connected, or the connection expired or lacks a scope. Connect once (auth type: API key) at:

    https://console.oomol.com/app-connections?provider=datascope

  • HTTP 402 / OOMOL_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT — billing stop. Recharge at https://console.oomol.com/billing/token-recharge before retrying.

Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
No artifact-backed evidence was supplied or found that indicates behavior outside the skill's stated purpose, and SkillSpector reported no issues.
Instruction Scope
No prompt-injection indicators or instruction-scope concerns were reported in the supplied context.
Install Mechanism
The available evidence does not show an unusual installer, hidden setup step, or automatic execution path.
Credentials
The supplied scan context does not indicate credential theft, broad local indexing, or disproportionate access to the user's environment.
Persistence & Privilege
No evidence shows persistence, privilege escalation, background workers, or durable agent-behavior modification.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oo-datascope
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oo-datascope
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
Version History
v1.0.0
- Initial release of `oo-datascope`, a DataScope skill for operating against a connected DataScope account through the OOMOL `datascope` connector and `oo` CLI. - Supports reading DataScope answer data, including standard answer listing and metadata-rich answer listing with normalized question structures. - Adds location management actions to list, create, and update DataScope locations. - Adds metadata list element actions to create, retrieve, list, and update elements under DataScope metadata list types. - Provides per-action reference docs and enforces live schema inspection before building connector payloads. - Includes safety guidance for state-changing actions, requiring payload and effect confirmation before create or update operations.
