Description
Build a local, source-constrained evidence notebook for maintainer decisions, incident review, and documentation updates.
README (SKILL.md)

OpenClaw Evidence Notebook

Use this skill when several local sources need to be compared before a maintainer decision.

The notebook keeps facts tied to sources. It is useful for incident notes, release readiness, design review, and public documentation checks.

Safety Rules

  • Use only approved local sources and public URLs supplied for the task.
  • Keep answers source-constrained. If a claim is not in the sources, label it as inference or question.
  • Separate facts, conflicts, assumptions, and decisions.
  • Do not include secrets, raw logs with credentials, or irrelevant personal data in notebook output.

Workflow

  1. Create a source list with title, type, date, and trust level.
  2. Extract source cards with short facts and anchors.
  3. Group related evidence under decision questions.
  4. Mark conflicts and missing information.
  5. Draft source-constrained answers with citations.
  6. Produce a short "decision packet" for maintainer review.

Outputs

  • Source list.
  • Evidence cards.
  • Conflict list.
  • Source-constrained answers.
  • Decision packet.

Non-Goals

  • No broad web research unless explicitly requested.
  • No unsourced conclusions.
  • No external upload or indexing by default.
Usage Guidance
Install if you want help reviewing public-facing documentation before release. Use it on files you intend to publish, and review any rewritten copy before accepting changes because it is designed to remove or revise sensitive, unsupported, or unclear wording.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
The skill's stated purpose is to review public docs, release notes, prompts, skill files, and package metadata for hype, template residue, unsupported claims, sensitive data, and unclear instructions; the workflow and outputs align with that purpose.
Instruction Scope
Instructions are user-directed around a selected publication target and ask for findings, rewritten copy, exceptions, and a checklist. They do not request unrelated file access, network calls, command execution, policy bypass, or hidden actions.
Install Mechanism
The artifact consists of a single non-executable SKILL.md file. There are no install scripts, hooks, package dependencies, executable payloads, or runtime setup steps.
Credentials
The skill may inspect and rewrite user-selected materials that could contain secrets or personal identifiers, but that is disclosed and proportionate because its purpose is to remove such content before publication.
Persistence & Privilege
No artifact evidence shows persistence, background workers, privilege escalation, local auth or session store use, broad indexing, durable storage, destructive actions, or automatic mutation outside user-selected copy review.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install oc-evidence-notebook
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /oc-evidence-notebook
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
