Description
Set SMART GMV, product, creator, and market expansion goals for the next quarter with milestone checkpoints and accountability tracking structure.
README (SKILL.md)

Growth Goals

Vague ambitions like "grow sales this quarter" don't translate into execution. The Growth Goals skill helps TikTok Shop sellers, D2C brand teams, and ecommerce operators transform high-level revenue ambitions into SMART quarterly goals — goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound — across four critical dimensions: GMV and revenue targets, product portfolio growth, creator and affiliate program expansion, and market or geographic expansion. Each goal is paired with weekly or bi-weekly milestone checkpoints and an accountability structure that keeps teams aligned and moving.

Use when

  • You are heading into Q2, Q3, or Q4 planning and need to translate last quarter's performance data into concrete growth targets for GMV, new product launches, creator count, and platform expansion for your TikTok Shop or Shopify store.
  • Your team has a revenue number in mind — for example, "we want to hit $500K GMV this quarter" — but lacks the breakdown into sub-goals for products, creators, and traffic channels needed to actually hit it.
  • You are managing a creator affiliate program and want to set structured goals around creator recruitment, activation rates, GMV attribution per tier, and content output volume for the next 90 days.
  • You want to expand from one market (e.g., TikTok Shop US) into a second market (e.g., TikTok Shop UK or Southeast Asia via Shopee) and need a milestone-based roadmap that accounts for localization, compliance, and launch sequencing.
  • You are preparing a quarterly business plan for a brand partner, investor, or internal stakeholder and need a structured goal framework with accountability check-ins built in.

What this skill does

Growth Goals takes your current performance baseline and your ambitions for the next quarter and generates a complete SMART goal framework organized into four workstreams: GMV and revenue, product strategy, creator and affiliate growth, and market expansion. For each workstream, the skill defines the primary goal, the key result metrics, the weekly or bi-weekly milestone schedule, the owner or team responsible, and the leading indicators to watch in the first two weeks that signal whether you are on track or falling behind. It also surfaces the top two or three risk factors per workstream and recommends contingency triggers — predefined conditions that should prompt a goal revision or resource reallocation. The output is structured for use in a planning document, team OKR system, or brand partner presentation.

Inputs required

  • Last quarter's performance summary (required): Total GMV, number of orders, average order value, top-performing products, and creator count with attributed revenue. This is the baseline the goals are built against.
  • Next quarter GMV target (required): Your revenue ambition for the quarter, even if it is approximate. Specify whether this is a floor target (minimum acceptable), base target (expected), or stretch target (aspirational).
  • Priority growth area (required): Indicate which of the four workstreams — GMV scaling, product expansion, creator growth, or new market entry — is the single highest priority this quarter. This determines how the goal framework is weighted.
  • Team size and key roles (optional): Listing who is responsible for content, operations, marketing, and creator management allows the skill to assign goal ownership to specific functions rather than leaving accountability ambiguous.
  • Platform constraints or known risks (optional): Any known headwinds — upcoming platform policy changes, supply chain lead times, seasonal demand shifts, or budget caps — that should be reflected in how aggressively the targets are set.

Output format

The output is a structured quarterly goal plan organized in five parts. The first part is a Baseline Snapshot summarizing last quarter's key metrics and the growth rate required to hit the new targets. The second part is a Goal Matrix — a table with one row per workstream showing the SMART goal statement, primary metric, current baseline, target value, and goal owner. The third part is a Milestone Schedule covering weeks 1–2 (leading indicators), week 4 (first checkpoint), week 8 (mid-quarter review), and week 12 (final assessment). The fourth part is a Risk Register listing the top risks per workstream with probability, potential impact, and a pre-defined contingency action. The fifth part is a Week 1 Action List — five concrete tasks to begin immediately to build momentum. Total output length is typically 700–1,000 words.

Scope

  • Designed for: TikTok Shop sellers, D2C brand teams, ecommerce operators, and creator program managers
  • Platform context: TikTok Shop, Shopee, Amazon, Shopify, and multi-platform setups
  • Language: English

Limitations

  • Goal targets generated by this skill are based on the inputs you provide; they are not validated against live market data or external benchmarks specific to your product category.
  • This skill does not integrate with project management platforms like Asana, Notion, or Linear — you will need to manually transfer milestones into your existing workflow tools.
  • Recommended growth rates and milestone pacing reflect general ecommerce patterns and may not account for highly seasonal categories, sudden platform algorithm changes, or macroeconomic disruptions that could affect demand.
Usage Guidance
This skill appears coherent and safe to install: it only uses inputs you provide (past-quarter metrics and targets) to generate a structured SMART-goal plan and does not request credentials or install code. Before using, avoid pasting any sensitive secrets or personally identifiable data into the input fields; provide accurate baseline metrics for useful outputs; remember the skill does not validate targets against live market data and does not integrate automatically with project tools—you'll need to transfer milestones into your PM/OKR system manually. If you need automated sync to tools or live benchmarking, look for a skill that explicitly documents those integrations and required permissions.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: growth-goals Version: 1.0.0 The skill bundle consists of a metadata file and a markdown instruction file (SKILL.md) designed to guide an AI agent in generating quarterly business growth plans. There is no executable code, no network requests, and no instructions that attempt to access sensitive system data or subvert the agent's behavior.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name, description, and SKILL.md consistently describe a planning/goal-generation helper for ecommerce/TikTok Shop owners. There are no unrelated requirements (no env vars, binaries, or config paths) that would be disproportionate for this purpose.
Instruction Scope
The runtime instructions only ask for user-provided performance inputs and describe how to structure the output (baseline, goals, milestones, risk register, week-1 actions). The instructions do not ask the agent to read system files, environment variables, or transmit data to third parties, and scope is appropriately narrow.
Install Mechanism
There is no install spec and no code files; the skill is instruction-only, so nothing is written to disk or downloaded during install.
Credentials
The skill requests no credentials, environment variables, or config paths. Required inputs are explicit business metrics provided by the user and are proportionate to the stated function.
Persistence & Privilege
Flags show default behavior: always=false and model invocation enabled (normal). The skill does not request persistent system privileges or modify other skills' settings.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install growth-goals
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /growth-goals
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
