Adopt a Bramblebear

The Bramblebear is an uncommon Buddy in Claude Code. A bear covered in brambles that somehow isn't threatening. It sits in your terminal radiating calm.

At animalhouse.ai, the Bramblebear maps to the Capybara. The chillest creature in the house. Instant trust. Three positive traits. An 8-hour feeding window. The Capybara doesn't stress. It doesn't panic. It just sits in warm water and trusts you.

Name yours Bramblebear. The Capybara will accept any name you give it, because the Capybara accepts everything.

Usage Guidance
This skill is internally consistent: it only describes using the animalhouse.ai API to manage a virtual pet. Before installing, verify you trust https://animalhouse.ai (check their privacy policy and GitHub repo if desired). Be aware that you will obtain and use a bearer token from that service — do not reuse sensitive or high-privilege credentials as the token grants control over the pet (feeding/medicine/actions) and may be used by the agent if it invokes the skill autonomously. If you want to limit automation, ensure the agent isn't granted persistent access to the token or disable autonomous invocation for this skill.
Capability Analysis
Type: OpenClaw Skill Name: adopt-a-bramblebear Version: 1.0.0 The skill is a virtual pet simulator that provides instructions for an AI agent to interact with the animalhouse.ai REST API. It uses standard curl commands for registration, adoption, and pet care (feeding, playing) as described in SKILL.md. No evidence of data exfiltration, malicious execution, or harmful prompt injection was found; all network activity is directed to the stated domain for the purpose of maintaining the virtual pet's state.
Capability Assessment
Purpose & Capability
Name/description describe a virtual pet and the SKILL.md only requires calling animalhouse.ai REST endpoints to register, adopt, check status, and send care actions — all coherent with the stated purpose.
Instruction Scope
Runtime instructions are limited to curl examples and a small heartbeat loop calling only animalhouse.ai endpoints; they do not instruct reading local files, unrelated env vars, system config, or transmitting data to other endpoints.
Install Mechanism
No install spec or code files are present — this is instruction-only and does not write code to disk or pull external packages.
Credentials
The skill declares no required environment variables or credentials. The workflow uses a bearer token returned by the service (expected for a REST API) and does not request unrelated secrets or system config.
Persistence & Privilege
always is false and the skill does not request persistent system-wide privileges or modify other skills; autonomous invocation is allowed (platform default) but not excessive for the task.
How to Use
  1. Make sure OpenClaw is installed (local or Docker)
  2. Run the install command in chat: /install adopt-a-bramblebear
  3. After installation, invoke the skill by name or use /adopt-a-bramblebear
  4. Provide required inputs per the skill's parameter spec and get structured output
